Pulp Riot Semi-Permanent Hair Color 4oz- Absinthe

Absinthe is a beautiful emerald shade of green dye. Its consistency made it easy to apply on lightened roots and previously lightened/dyed + faded teal green hair. When mixed with some of Pulp Riot's Slither and Flytrap, this dye gave me the vibrant green hair of my dreams. To achieve the color in the picture attached to this review, I used 1.25 tubes of Absinthe, almost a full tube of Slither, and about half of a tube of Flytrap. My mid-lengths and ends had been previously lightened and dyed a darker, more tealish green that was gradually fading blue. Before dyeing, I lightened my roots from about a level 4/5 to level 7/8. Then I applied the color (with a deeper mix that had more Slither in it at my roots) all over my hair. I left the dye on to process for at least an hour and a half before rinsing it out. I haven't yet observed how this shade fades when washed every 4-5 days in cold water, but my previous dye job with Pulp Riot lasted well when I took proper care, so I'm optimistic.

Absolutely love this color its not very bright but gives your hair that witchy vibe if your going for that witch green not to dark but not to light, color has not faded even with every other day hair washes. I am in love with this color and brand as it doesnt necessarily need a touch up every week like most brands. I would 100% reccomend.

Color stays for a long time if you rinse with cold water when rinsing it out. You don’t need fully bleached blonde hair. My daughter’s hair pulled an orange and this color still showed up as pictured.

I love this brand. I've only used three colors, but all of them went on easy and dyed my hair the color it said it would. (Also smelled nice.) I haven't had any tub staining, face/neck transfer (after the first shower), or pillowcase murder (though with freshly dyed wet hair, I did stain my pillow). This color is a beautiful emerald green, and while it doesn't seem to last as long as "Nightfall", I think that's a universal problem with green dyes rather than this product. Love it and use it often.
