Used these on windows facing the afternoon sun. They really help reduce heat coming through the window. Better than the shade cloth I was using previously. Used double-sided adhesive foam stripping to ensure the gap space between window and reflective foam insulation was at least a 1/2". It also helped to keep the insulation straight and much neater looking from the outside. Definitely purchasing more rolls to do more windows - just not those facing the street or the HOA mafia will likely send me a citation.

This is a reasonable product I used it to wrap the hose on my portable Air Conditioner that runs from the unit to the window to reduce the heat it gave off into the home. Thinking about it I wish I had 100 feet of 3 foot wide so I could place it against my windows to reflect summer heat but thats a little expensive for now. It is what it is.. thin and heat reflective.

The specs are correct, as you can see in the picture with the digital caliber it is indeed 3 mm thick And as I move it along, some sections are like,2.97. Or 3.02. Millimeters thick so fairly consistent, definitely within specks and variances that are quite acceptable. And it's gonna work perfect for my application, which is insulating the covers for my bamboo lab AMS ht

Just got this installed it right away as it was supposed to be cold last night. This product was placed on the inside of the pump house very easily use very easy to handle. However, since I did the ceiling as well, I will have to order another roll.

This light weight insulation was perfect for insulating my furnace ductwork in the basement. I used a large empty cardboard box as a work surface, and the material cuts very easily with a sharp utility knife for straight cuts and a sharp pair of Fiskars scissors for curved cuts. Cut the pieces to fit, and fastened it to the ductwork with double sided carpet tape. Was able to raise the temperature of the heated air coming out of the ducts upstairs by several degrees by saving the heat that otherwise would have been lost to the unheated basement.

Good product as advertised, but shipping takes longer than what is presented on when you check out.

Background: Las Vegas, NV Eight NW Corner Windows into the setting sun on the second floor office with 32 sq feet of window space in a 700 sq ft apartment. Results: 1). Two layers of 1/8" each foam core panels plus one layer of reflective material reduced room temperature from 115 F to 80 F, producing the same final room temperature as the other rooms not in the setting sun. Made room useable during the hottest parts of the day, increasing comfort and productivity throughout. 2) Total material payback was achieved in only 1.5 months, OUTSTANDING by any measure! Plus 15% reduction in total energy costs via AC alone! Again, outstanding results! 2' x 3' panels of Foamcore plus 2" wide additional all around foamcore on surface of panels provided the "frame" for seating the reflective material. Four (4) adjustable suction cups on each panel hold the packages onto the windows. All panels can be quickly removed when desired. During the cold winter months I will be using the panels after sunset and through the night to reduce the bitter Las Vegas cold and save substantially on heating costs. In the mornings I will be removing the panels to maximize the reduced winter sunshine and pick up natural warming. Increasing comfort and quality of life, while reducing expensive energy costs should appeal to many people today who could benefit from such a setup.

Lined the roof of my Transit cargo van (camper conversion) and effectively lowered the temperature inside when the van is parked in direct sunlight here in Florida. I haven't measured the temp difference but it is significantly felt when I go in the van after its been sitting parked for a long time. It used to be like an oven but now it is always very comfortably warm inside no matter how long the van has been in the sun. I have no doubt that if/when I line the walls too it will be even better. It also helps the AC work more effectively and keeps cool for much longer after the AC is off. It's much easier to work with than other, thicker, bubblier insulating materials I've tried in the past and it also looks much nicer than those materials too. I'm very pleased.
