Only assembly required was a few bolts which were provided very easy! Functionality is wonderful, the price is high. We waited until it went on sale, but it is definitely well-made & built to last. Well worth the price! I use a 3/4 inch hose 100 foot long - Rolls up w/ease, like a dream, no kinks & you need to make sure the hose stays unkinked when you 1st start rolling but we have not had any issues w/hose kinking, like some of the other comments made?This cart is very sturdy, w/strong wheels that move over rocks, dirt, sand, etc. We have the irrigation well hookedup & can roll it around anywhere on my acre property! The potted plants love it 😍 have not had one rust sign yet, size is as expected - fits perfectly- you can also purchase the hose reel by itself - no cart if you want to hang it on a wall or place it into a concrete structure on the ground & all the parts are well made, Comes pre-oiled, with everything you need -made in America 🇺🇸 that’s the only reason it is expensive, but its well worth it as we have been through 3 separate plastic hose hanging reels.Nice strong metal - heavy. Great quality!

I finally caved and made myself buy this hose reel after dealing with a crappy plastic one for years that I purchased at one of the big box stores. This hose reel is absolutely amazing and is a night and day difference between this and anything I’ve used in the past. i’m not sure about the reviews that people left saying that it was difficult to put together, it took me about 20 minutes and that included rolling the hose onto it. Everything went together smoothly and works perfectly, now I just need it to be spring so I can use it more!

Absolutely the worst design. Impossible to put together. And bolt your hose to it? What if you want to change the hose. I spent more wanting quality and that did not happen. Find a better option…wish I did.

This reel is expensive but worth it in long run I think. Very well built with brass fittings. The hose guide is smooth and releases to pull hose out freely. The basket is the only thing that could possibly rust after paint is knicked so I sprayed a coat of rubberized paint on it for extra protection. This should last for many years.

It can move on the two wheels, but when I tried to bring it up some steps the first time it came apart.The way the reel attaches to the trolley part needs to be super tight, otherwise it will slip out of the bolts holding it in place.The box was pretty beat up by the time it arrived, and the accessory tray was bent. After 3 rounds of emails with their customer service email they disclaimed the sale saying the Amazon order number was "wrong", so I was unable to get this replaced. It still works for now, but I'm concerned that if something else fails I am screwed; this was several times more expensive than the other alternatives.

The 8 ft size was the perfect length for the hose reel that I was using. There were no leaks at either end of the hose. It's a sturdy hose that I expect to last for many years.
