Easy set up, works great!
Works great for what we needed. I needed to hook up a computer to ethernet and didn't want to run a cable throughout the house. This was perfect. It connects to the houses WiFi and sends out its own, separate WiFi signal and you can hook up an ethernet cable to it and receive internet. The signal it sends out is separate from the signal it receives (has a different name and such). The speed seems to be just as fast as our fiber modem in the living room. No issues with this at all. Super easy to set up and been using it for over a year now.

Awesome WiFi extender
This little guy came on time, was super easy to set up (less than 5 min) and works just as expected. No issues.

It does the job of bridging my hardwired system to wifi without running a cable
I have an old ADT alarm system that I now use for local monitoring. I connected it to the internet via EnvisaLink EVL-4EZR. The alarm system is on the other side of the house from my router, and running a cable would be cost/labor prohibitive. The security system just needs to send a few pings every few minutes, nothing really intensive. I had a TP Link TL-WR802N that worked really well until I upgrade my router from an RT-AC3100 to a RT-AX88U. For some reason, the TP Link just would NOT work with the new router. I even tried a new TP Link and a more modern one, the TL-WR902AC. Anyway- nothing seemed to work and those TP-Links were junk. I was faced with having to use an older router or continue tearing my hair out. A friend recommended that I try this. It worked great! Well, it worked okay. I did 4/5 stars because there are so few settings. If you need a wireless extender for a parent or someone else technically challenged, this might be a good bet :). But there's like 3 settings: setting a password, picking what wifi to connect from, picking your new SSID, and go. I didn't want to broadcast the extended SSID's so it was a little bit of work to figure out how to log back into the device to re-set. It's a little finicky; I had to reset and try again (this time using my guest network) for it to give me an IP I could connect to when I was hardwired with my laptop. Eventually I noticed on my host router that it gave both this device and my laptop a new IP, so I was able to use that as well to manage remotely. I then plugged in my alarm system and it worked perfectly, using another address in my host router's DHCP range. --- It just worked. I wish I could disable the re-broadcasting of the 2.4/5ghz channels, but the best I could do was hide them in the admin / setup portal. Last note: I noticed that it still said 0 attached device(s) when I was connected via a hardwired device. So expect that. And my asus router shows that both of these devices (brostrend router, my security system) are hardwired even though they are coming in via wifi. Hopefully this helps others

Perfect for Adding Wi-Fi to My Wired Setup
I recently picked up the BrosTrend AC1200 WiFi to Ethernet Adapter for my desktop, which doesn't have built-in Wi-Fi. I wanted a simple way to add wireless internet without having to deal with USB dongles or upgrading my whole system. This adapter has been a solid solution, and here’s how it’s worked out for me. Setup and Ease of Use: Setting it up was pretty easy. I followed the instructions, connected it to my router, and then plugged the Ethernet cable into my desktop. It took only a few minutes, and everything was up and running. I was relieved not to run into any major complications because I’m not super tech-savvy. Performance: When it comes to performance, the dual-band Wi-Fi is a game-changer. I’m getting around 867Mbps on the 5GHz band and 300Mbps on the 2.4GHz band, and I’ve noticed a big improvement in my internet speed. Streaming movies in HD and gaming online is so much smoother, with far fewer interruptions than when I was using a USB adapter. Design: The design is simple but effective. It’s compact and comes with external antennas that help boost the Wi-Fi signal. I didn’t have to do much trial and error with positioning, since it has a signal indicator to help you find the best placement. That little detail made the setup process a lot easier than I expected. Things to Keep in Mind: There are a couple of things I’ve noticed. First, the 5GHz connection tends to weaken the farther I am from my router, though the 2.4GHz band still holds up pretty well. If you’re planning to use this in a large space, you might want to consider the range limitations on the higher band. Also, while the web interface is easy to navigate, I do wish there was a mobile app for managing the connection, but that’s a minor gripe. Overall Thoughts: I’m really happy with the BrosTrend AC1200 WiFi to Ethernet Adapter. It’s given me reliable Wi-Fi on my desktop without the hassle of cables or complicated setup. If you're looking for a good, affordable way to add Wi-Fi to a device that doesn't have it, I highly recommend it. Just keep the range in mind, especially for the 5GHz band.

This BrosTrend wifi adapter worked like a charm ! I got this wifi adapter for two purposes. The first is to use it with my old MacBook Air from 2010 when I need a faster connection (large backups or file transfers). The second was because I wanted to rearrange my home office and my PC doesn't have built-in wifi. The PC is currently connected using an Ethernet cable but where I would be placing the PC would make it difficult to connect by Ethernet. I didn't want to get a long cable and have to run it along several walls. By connecting this simple and affordable wifi adapter, my problem is solved. I want to note that I read the instructions and was careful to load the correct (and up to date) drivers before inserting the USB wifi adapter. This processed worked very well both on my PC (running Windows) and my MacBook Air (running MacOS/OSX). I also made sure to disable the built-in wifi on my MacBook Air so that there wouldn't be any conflicts and issues. I did a quick internet speed test on the laptop with the built-in wifi and then again with the BrosTrend USB 802.11ac Wifi adapter. I was happy to see that using the BrosTrend doubled the speed that I got. Given the price, performance (doubling my internet connection speed) and ease of use, I am very happy with this adapter and feel that warrants a 5 star rating.
