Years ago, I had read how Swiss Stone Pine wood shavings are used in pillows in Germany to foster a good nights rest. I’ve been using the essential oil since then. It can be hard to find so I’ve ordered from a couple different companies over the past few years.I sprinkle a few drops on a cotton ball and put on the nightstand. I rotate the cotton ball every night to get a fresh spot and replace with a new one every four nights or so. The nightly ritual of sprinkling the cotton ball and taking a deep inhalation is lovely.I wonder if this wonderful oil is why I didn’t catch Covid during the pandemic. Who knows - but it certainly is life enhancing.

I received a gift from a German friend - a small pillow with wood shavings from a stone pine - a tree that grows in the Swiss-, German- and Austrian Alps. This oil is the companion oil. We have tried lavender oil so far with minimum results. To our surprise, we are sleeping better with the stone pine essential oil.

The smell is slightly different from the “Zirben” oil we have bought in Austria but very nice. We use it in diffuser and it seems slightly more dilute than the smaller bottles that are available but still excellent value for the money.
