I decided to start reading the classics I somehow missed over the years and this was a great choice to start because it’s the Halloween season. It has great descriptive writing and the plot moves right along. It’s not scary by today’s standards but still a suspenseful and creepy little good-and-evil classic. This is a nicely designed ebook version, it’s way better than the cheap classic reproductions. The introduction was informative and pointed out some interesting things that influenced the writing of the book. Highly recommended!

Check out this publisher, their books are a bargain. Priced right, good enough quality, but edited very well with all the pertinent footnotes you could ask for. I bought one and am now going back for more.

I had to get this for my high school freshman.

Elegantly told and suspenseful, this classic story certainly stands the test of time. The copy I read is the Keynotes Classic edition. I especially appreciated the introductory key written by Michelle M. White. She provides interesting information about the author and offers valuable suggestions about what to look for in the story. As a result, I believe I got much more from this reading than I did when I first read it. Highly recommended.
