Very efficient, simple and powerful.
Before buying, I checked out all the complaints and was concerned that only half of the ratings were 5 star.I was not expecting too much right out of the box because it was a cloudy evening just after sunset and the yard was shaded by a big tree. It started as soon as I put it into the birdbath and continued operating for the next couple of hours until total darkness. I attributed this to the battery. The next morning at five o'clock in the dark gray of predawn, barely light out, there it was pumping away. This scenario continued everyday since.Apparently, in this latest model, the solar cells are extremely sensitive to any kind of light. The back yard only has direct sunlight between 7 AM and 2 PM then shaded the rest of the day. But the pump works from predawn to post dusk. The wind will drain the bird bath in short order, but all you have to do is put on a less aggressive nozzle.Cleaning is very simple but I had to check some videos how to disassemble it to clean it. They should have included this in the printed instructions.I was amazed at the power of this very small pump and the simplicity of it's design. The impeller is actually a very small powerful magnet. After 3 days it had to be cleaned and surprised how dirty the water got from the birds. The water should be changed every morning so you don't have to clean the pump every few days. The suction cups on the bottom are useless in my birdbath. They are best suited for very smooth and flat glass bottomed birdbaths. I used some decorative rocks to keep the pump centered in the birdbath.Overall I am pleasantly surprised and satisfied with the simple operation and efficiency of this pump.

Worked great for 3 years
This tiny water fountain worked great for three (3) years then stopped. When I pulled it out of the bird bath for the last time, it seemed like the battery has burst? It had a crack in the housing and seemed to be swollen. It sat outside in my bird bath for so long in the sun. I think for the price it was worth it. Watching the water spray brought me joy for many years and aerated the water for my birdies and prevented mosquitos from planting their larvae. I did not like that the auction feet didn't keep it in place, so it would always float to one of the sides and spray out all of the water. The next one I buy will have arms that go out to keep the fountain from reaching the edge of the container.

Very pretty addition to my yard.
This is the cutest fountain! I don't have a picture, but it works great. The solar power seems to hold up well even though in Ohio it has been cloudy & rainy...and I don't use it every day because of the bad weather. It has several different interchangeable fountain heads you can pick from for a variety of sprays. Easy to pop on & off. But the bigger the spray, the faster the water is used up in the container. I have a big (10 inch) plastic pot I put my fountain in. Put rocks in the bottom & get a few water plants that float, and you're all set! Great value for the price.

Too strong in high sun with attachments
I went low on my review only because of longevity. This worked great other than the fact that when the sun is strong, the water sprayed out of the birdbath. It sprays pretty far and it's fairly windy here, but I just took the attachments off and it worked for me. I wasn't too concerned about much more than water movement for the birds. Worked great the first year, even better than the several others I've tried which all had the same issues with sun damage and overspray in high sun exposure, but were not as powerful in low light. The enamel on the solar panel begins to separate within a year. Very quiet and other than the sun issues, I liked it a lot. The birds did too, with or without attachments, but the overspray emptied the birdbath quickly when it's breezy and using any attachments. For the price, it worked well for me, but expect to need to replace it each year.

Too much water flow for a bird bath
The media could not be loaded. I opted for the 3.5 pump as opposed to a 2.5 feeling like it would work better. I loved the thought of the different heads and the different ways you could use them for different effects. Unfortunately none of those work well for a bird bath. It's too much water and just splashes out no matter what combination of heads I use. The water goes up in the air and hits the edge of the bird bath and then splashes so you don't even get a nice tinkling water sound. The battery was supposed to work for 3 to 5 hours after the sun went down if it has been in full sunlight all day. I find that it works closer to 3 to 5 minutes! The instructions indicate you should clean the pump and impeller every two to three weeks but even using bottled water in an area that's not around trees somehow little hairs get wrapped around the impeller so you really have to clean it every 2 or 3 days because it just stops working. It's not hard to clean but it's a lot of maintenance.

Long life! Excellent product
I bought three of these fountains in an effort to help aerate my stagnant fish pond, and to help increase dissolved oxygen in the water column and let me tell you something. I bought them over three years ago (2019) and they've been out in the wilderness on their own ever since. Best $60 I ever spent on trying to fix a problem. These things float around in the pond and run all day in the sunlight. There's been a major improvement in water quality and THEY STILL WORK in 2023. The flotation on the bottom has finally started to wear out (after 3 years? Not bad for $20) and so I did actually just replace them with identical units. They do clog with algae from my pond every so often, usually every couple of months the buildup gets to be too much, but after a quick scrub with a brush they're back to work. Meanwhile dragonflies and other creatures (turtles and frogs) love to come hang out on/around them, and the water is doing much better (so are my fish!). This is absolutely a quality product! I wish I could give these guys a high-five because typically these sorts of products don't work or last very long. I've been through several others and similar products before getting these, and I wasted so much time fiddling with others. Great product!
