Why is air leaking from the connections?

Leaks are almost always due to improper installation: (1) Seals not fully seated in grooves, (2) Under-tightening, (3) Missing tape. Tighten firmly but do not overtighten—this damages threads. Check each joint systematically.

Are the mounting holes adjustable?

No. Hole locations are fixed at 5.9" long, 3.9" wide spacing. Some compressors require drilling new holes or using an adapter plate. If your compressor's holes don't align, do not force it—this will damage both units.
