California Costumes Women's Plus-Size Oktoberfest Fraulein Costume

I bought this for an Oktoberfest that happened in September. Absolutely worth the money. I am 5’5”, typically wear a size 2x/18 and have a large bust. I got the 3x because of my bust. Fit ended up being perfect. Yes, the petticoat is itchy, but that’s normal. I loved the length too because I don’t want to worry about strong wind gusts or bending and squatting. It is a costume, so don’t expect great fabric and quality, but it did its job and I can wear it again.

I love this costume! I ordered a 3x to make sure it would fit me. I'm 5'5, 200lbs, a 40dd, and i wear an 18 in jeans. I had to go with the 3x b/c of my waist measurement. Most costumes that include my chest size, won't fit my waist. This 3x was stretchy enough to accommodate. I love the low cut top. It gave me great cleavage even though it was a larger measurement than 40. The material is a bit thin, but nothing ripped. The embroidery on the bodice is very pretty and the pewter-looking buttons for the green ribbon laces make this look more authentic than just a costume. I received many compliments and many requests for pictures when I wore this at a beer festival. People said they preferred my more classic dirndl look compared to the other girls wearing the trampy costume versions at that event. I do like the trampy versions, tho. Those costumes are never in my plus size for me to enjoy. Anyway, the cleavage on this gives enough eye candy for me to be a bit of a tart and feel very sexy. My only complaint is that the skirt is way too long. It went just above my ankles. I wanted it at my knees or just below. I would have liked to show off some cute knee socks with bows. I guess at 5'5 I'm too short for the skirt. Also, the petticoat was very scratchy. I still wore it b/c it made the skirt look better. My nicer petticoat wasn't long enough

Not a lot of plus size options out there for Oktoberfest, but I’m glad I found this one! Fits me great. I got a 3X. I typically were a 3X, size 22/24. My measurements are 52”, 46”, 56”, and I’m 5’8”. This fits perfect and I love the length - I won’t have to worry about my butt showing. Only random complaint I have….the petticoat thing it comes with smells so weird lol, I can’t even describe it. But that doesn’t change that I’m glad I ordered this for Oktoberfest!

I've bought California Costumes before and they fit my body well, however this costume is made for a woman who has an hourglass shape. If you are a different body type and/or thick around the middle don't even think about buying this type of costume. I'm a size 22/3x, this costume fit as I expected. The corset like top does not stretch so take that into account. It has a zipper in the back. It shows a lot of cleavage. I don't have a problem with that. If you do then you'll have to try to cover it up. The way it's constructed and the black color creates a slimming effect. I didn't use the pettiskirt, its very scratchy. The apron looks good but is not as wide as in the product pic. The material is on the thin side but the dress is well made. The colors make it look festive. The California Costumes brand has better materials and better made than other brands.It was a hit at the our local Oktoberfest celebration. I received multiple compliments from so many people. The older German ladies (and men) loved it. It's not an authentic Dirndl, but looks close enough to the real thing and a bit sexier. I had a great time wearing this costume. I was even pulled up on stage by the Festmeisters to do the Chicken dance! Zicke Zacke, Zicke Zacke, Hoi Hoi Hoi!

Was perfect for Halloween party

I've ordered many dirndles in my life, because my job does a yearly Oktoberfest celebration.One thing those others had in common was how uncomfortable they were! Lots of tight layers.But this! I didn't hate myself by the end of my 12 hour shift!Is it less 'authentic'?Sure.Did I still look good? Yes!And I spent less!Absolutely I will buy this again when I inevitably lose my current one before next year.

This dress is very true to size. I was expecting the three pieces to be the dress, shirt and apron but the dress and shirt are together. You will also get an apron and a scratchy underskirt to add volume to the dress but I don’t think it looks good with it on. Other than that I am very excited to wear this to Oktoberfest!!

Okay just joking. Kind of. But I was asked out by my friend within a week of wearing this to a haunted house and my current boyfriend is a fan of it as well, so…It’s pretty easy to put on and has plenty of room for bigger busts. The petticoat is cool and adds a little flare on the bottom but not needed. I’m 5’5 and range between 190-200lbs, usually wear a 16-18.
