Great egg beater!
This is my second manual egg beater. My first one rusted, very disturbing!! This one is amazing, sturdy and strong and easy to use, I love it!!

Great item
I love this! Takes me back to watching my Mom mix things in the kitchen, as a kid. It's not dishwasher safe, probably due to the handle, which has plastic at top. Who cares. Rinse it off by hand, and just enjoy using something NOT powered by electricity, once in a while!

A well-built egg beater
There are a lot of hand-cranked egg beaters on Amazon that look similar to the Norpro. I researched them pretty thoroughly prior to pulling the trigger on the Norpro and I can assure you that they are not the same. Get the Norpro. It is a really well-designed and well-built egg beater. The operation is super smooth and it feels really solid. I use the Norpro to beat two large eggs in a Pyrex 2-cup liquid measure every morning and it makes quick work of it every time. The only downside - and it's a really minor one - is that the beaters themselves do not make contact with the bottom of the mixing vessel; they sit about a quarter inch above it. This is not an issue if your liquid level is sufficient to cover the quarter-inch gap, but if you are beating a small amount of liquid, like a single egg, you might have to use a fork - or maybe just a smaller diameter mixing vessel to bring the liquid level up to the beaters. I wouldn't let something like this deter you from buying the Norpro, though, in any case. Besides, the bracing that keeps the beaters above the bottom of the mixing vessel is also what gives the tool strength.

Well made
It’s very well made and sturdy but the only issue I have with it is the bottom bar across the two beaters hold the beaters off the bottom of the bowl. As a result if you are beating eggs, the egg whites hang onto this bar and do not get beaten in. In other words, the bar makes it sturdy but it is an issue if you use it primarily for eggs.

Not The Best
I needed to replace an eggbeater so decided to try this.I'm probably never actually going to use it.Despite the description to the contrary, it is NOT to be put into the dishwasher. That's a pain.Worse though is the mechanism itself. It's just a 1:1 gear, right? Super simple.Well, it sticks! So you can't up and beat the eggs with anything resembling a smooth action. To me, that indicates a poorly-made, or poorly-executed design, or lack of product quality control. So no. I'd never buy this again.

Egg beater
It works lot better than my old one. It's so smooth when you turn it. Do not put in the dishwasher as it says not to.
