Great value and reads to the hundredth of a degree. For best results, keep it in your mouth a minute after the beep—it can still rise. It stores the last reading, and works well for nighttime tracking. Battery cap pops off easily, but not a dealbreaker. “Lo” means it’s waiting for a temp, not low battery. Perfect for cycle tracking—simple and reliable!

For the price, you can't beat this thermometer. I like that it reads to the hundredth of a degree. To ensure an accurate reading, keep it in your mouth for another minute after the beeps are done - and yes, the number CAN continue to rise after the beeps; it just can't decrease. I take my temperature in the middle of the night and either use my phone flashlight to read the number or wait til morning to record it (it retains only the most recent value). My one qualm is the battery cap pops off easily, but it's not bothersome enough to knock off a star. FYI, it will read temps over 100, but the hundreds digit won't display. So, it works just dandy as a regular thermometer, too, and will even do a special beep if the temp is over 100. FYI 2, "Lo" does not mean low battery...it means the temperature is lower than the thermometer "expects" and is waiting for you to put it in your mouth. For what it's worth, my SymptoPro course improved this device, and according to my instructor, my charting seems to be accurate. I would recommend this to anyone who's tracking cycle temperatures...no unnecessary bells and whistles, just does what it says on the tin.

This thing caused my pregnancy. Took it every morning as soon as I woke up, had the temperature spike, and my several-year-old-child was conceived that day. That's all the proof you need it works

This thermometer works ok. It’s a good value for the price, but it takes a long time to read your temperature. It is reliable for charting for fertility awareness and inexpensive. Those are my two main advantages. I have been chatting close to two years now and my results using this thermometer have been consistent and reliable. So 4 stars for that. So why one less star? I ordered this same thermometer a year ago and it was the light pink cap like in the picture. Although it also takes a long time (1-2 minutes) to read the temperature, I also realize I’m not spending $100+ on my perfect thermometer. I recently ordered a new one and it was hot pink tipped. No big deal, I figured it was a minor supply change or something, but it sadly doesn’t function properly. It will read my temperature after two minutes or so, but once it shuts off it will not recall the last temperature. That feature is really important for those groggy mornings. *Amazon is sending me a new one to replace the malfunctioning one* and hopefully it is a fluke. If both thermometers do the same thing I will update this review. Overall, this is a good value and reliable option. The beep to signal a read temperature isn’t loud enough to disturb my husband, there are no lights on it and it has been consistent for me. Great value for those on a budget.

I was very satisfied with this product and it indeed did as it was intended to do. It arrived within the scheduled delivery time, no hassle to report, and the packaging was in great condition. The item itself was very clear with its instructions although the reading was a little hard to make out as the screen a) didn’t light up, b) the font is a faded black against a brownish background, c) the screen itself is rather small. I would recommend anyone with vision difficulties perhaps finding a different product as this one may not be for you. The ability to record a temperature varied, honestly. Sometimes it felt it took five seconds to take a reading and another time it felt it took fifteen or so seconds. I preferred to insert the thermometer vaginally for my BBT readings as this felt the most accurate way. But another complaint I have had about this product is the button’s rather difficult ability to press down properly. It is not a raised bump but more of a slivered outline in the plastic seen on the photograph and pressing it down usually means using your fingernail or some force. So, another recommendation that for anyone with arthritis pains or difficulties pressing with a stronger amount of force, I would seek out another product. All in all, I used this for the intended purpose of conceiving and with this I was able to do so. I am currently 39 weeks and 2 days along. It took us some time to conceive not through any fault of this product. This actually helped us through a lot of it and I’d recommend this thermometer (albeit not to anyone with the issues stated above) to those trying to conceive or merely for tracking their BBT for charting purposes.
