Melissa & Doug Giant Jack Russell Terrier - Lifelike Stuffed Animal Dog (Over 12 inches Tall)

This life like Jack Russell is absolutely adorable. Our 14 year old JR Penny just passed and I came across this and had to get it. It sits along side her table with her ashes, toy, picture and cast imprint of her paw. She will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts.

We got this to model a doggie product and found it excellent for that use. Pros: - very durable. The toy withstood many days in full sun with no fading, many children pulling it off the table as they wanted to play with it. No issues and no problems. Very high quality. - lifelike - the other dogs were always sniffing the toy to see why the 'dog' wasn't playing - good fun. - perfect size - it is very well approximated to the typical size of a healthy jack - great for modeling our product! - stands on it's own! Because it's relatively rigid, the toy stands on its own and stays put - again perfect for modeling a product. Cons: - Can't think of any! I would certainly recommend this for toddlers through whatever age as well as for the use we put it to. Hope that helps :)

A few years ago we had to put down our rat terrier, Lola and my daughter had been asking for another dog ever since. She tested positive for allergies to dogs, sadly and we cannot get a new pup. So I recently bought her this. It’s so close to the same size as our old dog that it fits in the collar and old clothes our dog had. In the pics she’s actually wearing the stuff. My daughter is obsessed with this stuffed dog and takes it everywhere with her. She even “walks” the dog around the house with a leash.

Rough housing, biting, and wrestling is part of the normal development of a puppy. To help foster that development without family members being the object of your pups affection, I recommend, the Melissa & Doug life-sized stuffed dog (BFF) for your pup. Depending on the size of your pup, you would need to buy an appropriately sized stuffed companion. This stuffed animal is well built but I don't expect, nor should you, for it to last forever. I might need surgery as it's being maimed or you might need to buy a new one. The only caution I urge is that this stuffed animal has plastic eyes, so you will need to monitor your pup so as not to eat/choke on those pieces.

Nice, but our Golden chewed up some stitching. She is a destroyer of toys! It is well made, and the dog really liked it, but we had to keep an eye on her when she had it. I would give it 5 stars, but I'll knock off one as a warning to others.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: In memory of my beloved Jack Russell dog Petey I saw this and just had to have it. It is very realistic in size and overall look. This is a great gift idea for anyone who is a fan of this breed.

My 7 mo. Old Cairn Terrier has been wrestling and biting this dog for 3 months. Just yesterday there was a hole in the “fur” with stuffing coming out. I put the stuffing back into the dog and sewed it up. Easy fix. This stuffy is tough! My pup is the roughest pup Jerad and bites everything. I put an old halter on the stuffy and hold the t of the harness so that I can make it walk, play bow, etc. Not really, but close enough to get the pup going. If I puts favorite toy in between the harness and the “fur,” the real pup goes crazy wit jealousy and works hard to get the toy back. At 10 months, the real pup is now an inch taller than the stuffy. Highly recommend! She kills this stuffy every day!

We laid our beautiful Jack to rest, on the last day of summer, at the ripe old age of 18. I bought this for my son and as soon as I saw it I wanted one for myself, to sit on the couch, next to me. It is very sturdy and soft with wonderful expressive eyes and the tail is perfect! I can’t say enough about this, but Jack lovers will be very impressed with the life like quality!

Just the quality of construction I expected from Melissa and Doug. I called her Melissa. I got their Husky through a different place - much larger and great quality as well. I called him Doug. Just as well I don't plan to get a third one as I'd have to get more inventive with the names! :D My dog likes them too. Play bows and sniffing their butts. Melissa and Doug's play bows are a bit stiff since legs aren't really flexible. My dog can be a bit rough and rude with Melissa given she's smaller. Doug has quite a large hard head so my dog can get donked if gets a bit over-excited. He's learning a bit better play... perhaps. Note, I don't recommend your dog full on playing with them as they're not a dog toy and no doubt would be damaged/destroyed fast by many dogs! Actually bought to use as helper dog in my dog training business.

He is an awesome companion for the real deal. He loves it!
