I can not speak to the functionality of the unit because the display was broken. High price does not mean high quality, at least not in this case. Step it up Extech! - quit cutting corners and make products worthy of the ridiculous prices you charge! Review: Worked great. - The Extech 382100 worked as expected. This datalogger is very easy to use and the logged data is stored nicely as an Excel document on a SD card. This made making graphs and using the data very easy. The only thing I didn't like is the 2 second minimum interval for readings. This isn't fast enough to catch the starting amperage of a motor every time. There is no problem hooking it all up live as long as you are careful. I've never had a problem. **Q: Does it comes with wi-fi capabilities for remote data analysis?** A: No, it does not have that capability. **Q: will it work with linux?** A: Hi, thanks for your question, Unfortunately, the software is only available and has been tested for windows 7,8,10, and 11. if you have any questions, feel free to contact our technical support line at 866-477-3687 option 3 **Q: What is the maximum wire diameter the current clamp will fit on?** A: While I cannot say for sure what the maximum wire size is that the current clamp would fit on, it will certainly fit on any wire sized per NEC to carry the allowable amperage that the DL 160 is max rated to measure. Any larger wire sizes would most likely be in an installation subject to more amps than that max rating, possibly damaging the device(s) if deployed to same.
