A: I wouldn't use this for anything over 150 pounds. From day one, it creaked and strained under the weight of 170-200 pounds, even as we slowly and carefully stood on it to reach a shelf. It broke along its strongest point with 194 lbs. this afternoon after putting one foot on it.

**Q: What are the dimensions of the flat standing area?**
A: Just measured it: 11 1/2 by 8 1/2.  And I love mine! Use it all the time, it takes up no space at all.

**Q: Can this hold a 14" destop computer? It is light and plastic, weighs about 47 pounds. For long period of time.**
A: I weight 107 lbs and stand on it all the time to reach high things in cabinets. It is lightweight plastic. Not sure if it would eventually warp from the constant weight but seems very sturdy to me. Hope this helps.

This is a nice sturdy step stool that folds down completely flat. It's very portable - you can take it around the house wherever you need to use it. Even though it folds it is very stable; it doesn't move when you use it and it doesn't bend or anything when you stand on it. It's a decent height to reach high cabinet shelves or get on top of your washing machine on a pedestal. I'm 5'5" so it's very helpful.
