INIKAOrganic Matte Perfection Primer | Vegan, Non-Toxic Beauty (1 fl oz | 30 mL)

I LOVE the Inika brand and this is another great product. Completely natural and it does an amazing job of making your eye makeup last a long time.

This INIKA Organic Matte Perfection Primer is terribly overpriced considering the formula. I found that this primer was hard to blend into my skin. Even though it was a pigmented primer that was very close to my skin tone, it still took some blending to not see the white-ish primer within. The formula is also heavily scented with essential oils in a very overpowering kind of way. I have oily skin and this primer didn’t keep my face matte for longer than a couple of hours. Overall, I just found this primer to be a disappointment and not something that I want to continue to use under my makeup.

This primer is a thin, beige fluid that you pump out of the tube. It goes on clear and spreads easily, but it stinks like roses (I hate rose-scented products). I applied it to my face, then topped it with a matte foundation. It made my foundation much easier to apply and did a GREAT job of minimizing pores. However, it totally failed at absorbing oil. A few hours later on a rainy day my face was an oil slick. Sorry, this is a no from me.

The scent is so unpleasant for me I almost don't want to use this primer. Luckily for me it doesnt linger. It smells like something organic and I can't put my finger on what exactly that is. This is supposed to blurr pores and it most certainly does! This primer is a game changer for me. My only complaint is the scent that I can't get down with, but because this primer works so well I'll look past it (or rather smell past it) and continue using. I'd reorder this.

I like using a primer before I put on foundation. I’m not sure why, but this primer doesn’t do anything to enhance my complexion. It just doesn’t do anything for me.

This smells exactly like “off” the bug repellent. It’s so gross. It almost feels like formaldehyde when it graces my lips. The actual effectiveness is meh. Very dewy. But no matter how well it works, the scent is repulsive.
