A little loud
scent stick comes out after a while so I used zip ties to keep it from falling out.

The scent sticks constantly fall out
These were recommended to us by a family friend who raves about them. Good concept & works similar to using a tennis ball to fluff the clothes & reduce static. Scent is OK. Better alternative to dryer sheets YET the white scent sticks constantly fall out of the rubber eggs, all 4 items easily get tangled in sheets or clothes so you have to locate/pick up if fall. We bought new eggs thinking the rubber had worn and some dust on the inside of the old eggsโฆ new scent sticks ALSO fell out of the new eggs within 2 weeks!

Best Invention
Eco Egg is the coolest invention. It does save the planet, your skin, clothing, money & time all in one! I would do an ad for them if I could. My clothes smell great too, which is something I had a hard time with while trying to find a good clean organic laundry soap.

Loud rubber sound clunking in dryer.
Work well for keeping things feeling fluffy. Might reduce dry time a small fraction. However they do not add any scent with the inserts and sound like tennis shoes tumbeling in the dryer.

Durable and long lasting
Still using the first 4 that I bought many years ago. They'll last for a very long time because they're made of thick rubber, not plastic and will not crumble or break apart, even with high dryer heat. I'm ordering more now for my daughter to take with her to her college dorm. The nubs on the originals are a bit smaller after so many years of use, but they still work just as well to keep clothes separated while drying. Towels are fluffier; permanent press shirts and pants are wrinkle free. These really are the best! and will not crumble or break apart, even with high dryer heat. They will last for a very long time I'm ordering more now because my daughter took the originals to use in her new apartment.

Way better than dryer sheets!
This is a reusable alternative to dryer sheets. It works well. The only downside is hunting them out of the clean clothes from the dryer.

Really liked how quickly they seemed to help dry my washing in the tumble dryer. Just don't overload. It was quite difficult to push the scented rods into the balls and it took a couple of uses to smell the fragrance which is very subtle. Very happy as I think they will save me money in the bad weather.

These eggs are definetly reducing the time it takes for my clothes to dry which is the main positive. The scent of the eggs is very weak and I'm not noticing that the eggs are leaving any scent on my washing.

I've had these dryer eggs for just over a year now. I've used them religiously. We are family of four and have two 12 years old. So, you can imagine the weekend wash load could be. We bought these hoping to do a few things, make our clothes softer, hoping (after reading the description) to save time and energy and leave some nice pleasant smell to our clothes. Well, let's address them one by one. 1. Yes they do make your clothes and towels softer, as you would expect because even a couple of tennis balls can do the same job, but let's move on. 2. We have one of the newer heat pump dryers so they are already quite efficient and have sensors to stop the drying when it thinks the clothes are dry. The eggs do make the clothes 'dryer' because they bang around when the clothes were tumbling around inside the drum, by separating them. But when it comes to saving time and energy, well, I haven't noticed much but perhaps a tiny bit but it wasn't significant as some said. 3. Fragrance? A hint of it only, don't expect the same level of smell compare to dryer sheets. I nearly notice it after you take the clothes out front the drum. I've only changed the sticks once in a year, so they do kind of last. So, do these eggs do their work as advertised? Yes and no. Drying better, yes. Leaving nice fragrance, not really but you can keep the dryer fresh at least. My last comment is durability. EcoEgg says they have a 10-year guarantee on these eggs. I highly doubt it. Look at the pictures, These are the wear you should expect after a year. I can seem them going 'bald' in the next 12 months. I also find tiny fragments of pink plastic in the dryer's filter. Therefore, I don't think EcoEgg's claim is good. Because like most manufacturers, they don't cover wear and tear. But to give it come redeeming points, they still function as before, just look a little different. Overall, am I impressed? I think they are just ok, there are there alternatives. These balls can get really loud during drying but for the price, they are not bad. I also think that the fragrance sticks are reasonably priced and they do last much longer than they said.
