I’ve had another cheaper brand of paper cutter for years. I had to push down hard on the cutter in order to even cut one piece of paper and even then, the cut was rarely precise. My new Carl paper cutter cuts paper with a gentle push of the bland. I just cut 5 pieces of sulphite paper in one swipe like a breeze. I make handmade books so a paper cutter is essential. This came highly recommended by other book makers and now I will number their ranks as a huge fan!

As a lifelong crafter I love this paper trimmer. This is the second time I've purchased it. The first one lasted over 20 years before I dropped it one too many times. I was thrilled it was still available as a replacement and still made of metal.

There seems to be a lot of play in the sliding cutter, so if you don't press down sufficiently, the paper can shift. Also it appears the alignment of the slider is off. It cuts straight but not exactly square. But the price point is good.

I've used this extensively for nearly a year to trim pictures and posters for our community residents. It works best with light paper less than 3 pieces at a time and does quite well with 64# cardstock too. Replacement cutting wheels are easily replaced as well as the cutting base bar.

First of all, the item was sent only in its product box and arrived in rough condition. The product packaging does not appear to be sturdy enough to be used without an outer box. Even if I had received a new item, I feel like there would be a chance for it to arrive damaged. As seen in the picture, the cutting wheel and one of the screws is missing. The trimmer arrived with the other screw properly tightened meaning the cutting wheel did not fall off during shipping. Additionally, the cutting mat has obvious signs of being used before. I also included a photo of the manual that states that the cutting capacity is actually 10 sheets instead of the product page's stated 15. That is significantly less than advertised. This is all very frustrating as I paid for a NEW product and instead received a used one that they didn't even bother to check if it was all there. I was already on a time crunch and now have to deal with returning this and finding a better product from a different manufacturer.

Given the vendor and price I was very disappointed in this product. It was not as well built as I expected. It was very plasticky.

Thrilled with this purchase. Great for a wide variety of paper needs. Large enough to accommodate A4 paper. Handy guidemarks for various sizes. Sturdy metal, not plastic. Simple blade replacement, with 28 mm blade size that is easy to find economical replacement blades. As an artist, I cut some sort of paper several times a week. My old cheap cutter was less than accurate, with an obsolete blade. Wow, I'm impressed with this cutter. Maybe my smartest purchase of the year. Invaluable to me.

Although all the notes on the Carl DC200N cutter say 15 sheets, this unit is only rated for 10 sheets (see photos). I sent my first one back thinking it was a mistake, but the second one came back the same, only 10 sheet capacity. However the cutter works fine, so if this is not an issue for you all is good.

Producto que me da lo esperado, esta bien construido y buenos materiales. Lo encuentro un poco caro, por el precio que tiene podia traer los accesorios que dispone. La entrega fue muy buena, antes de lo programado.

At last a cutter that actually cuts square and it is very precise and very quiet to use.
