DB Electrical AND0040 Alternator (For 90 91 92 93 13325)

A perfect fit for the 91' Honda accord. Installing is a bit tricky but can easily be done after watching a couple youtube videos. If the product prematurely fails I will update review.Thus far, on the day of install, the new alternater along with a new battery has solved the issues with the car.The product seems to be of good quality and free of defect. This was the cheapest option we found available for a new alternater. The car has 197000 miles so the alternater replacement was expected, if this alternater gets us to 250000 miles I will be very pleased.

Put it in and it blew a fuse. Thought it was my wiring as I did the install myself. Parked the car. Saved enough cash for wiring repair and the shop told me it was a bad wiring within the altenator. Out of window to return. Shop is installing a functioning altenator, installed price is about 2x what this cost. Older cars are funny, if you aren't a mechanic and a dyi guy, buyer beware! I thought I had a different issue when in reality I had a defective hunk o junk part from DB electrical. Gave two stars for Amazon shipping. Relatively quick.

First review ever, but first time dissatisfied. My Amazon experience was great, but read carefully. I ordered this alternator to save money on a car worth maybe $500. Core charges and prices much higher locally. Received and installed alternator, it promptly drained battery and did not charge. By now had to have car, so took my old alternator to local Autozone, OReilly's, Advance, etc, and bought one with limited lifetime warranty. Returned defective via Amazon to DB Electrical, paying a $20 shipping return. Enclosed a note requesting a refund, since I'd already had to replace alternator. Received replacement alternator yesterday. Thanks for reading my note DB Electrical. With cost of alternator and paying shipping return, and then cost of local alternator, I've now paid over $200 to fix my alternator, and have a spare of very questionable value, oh, and done the install twice, which on this car is a royal pain.As a mechanic of over 40 years, here are my lesson's learned:1. Don't buy electrical components online. Buy local with a lifetime warranty.2. Even with that local lifetime warranty, quality control on rebuilt parts, well, sucks. My latest alternator bought locally is also defective, and no, it isn't a problem with my 91 Honda Accord, it's crappy QC. Going into my third alternator replacement now, but at least this time I won't pay $20 to ship it back to Tennessee, and I won't end up with a crappy alternator I don't need.3. Pay the money, buy a Denso.... I should have listened to the reviewer who said just that..Older and Wiser in Texas now..... but darn good at swapping alternators on the most overengineered and reliable car on the planet, the 90, 91,92 series of Honda Accords..... ask the guy in Missouri who rolled his speedo over at 1,000,000 miles, mines a baby at only 300,000.

Came well packed. Car runs great, ( older model Accord ) no problems with it and it's been a few months now.
