Bore cleaning FASTER & BETTER then the old patches
Let me start out this review stating I am a former infantry machinegunner Marine of 5-1/2 years with 2 deployments and a whole ton of training. I've cleaned just rifle barrels for HOURS before. I've spent whole days cleaning one or two weapon systems. Running endless patches soaked in solevant through the bore from breach to muzzle. Doing it one or two patches at a time. The boresnake can do the job of 100 patches with one pull. Its extremely easy to use as well. So lets say you've come back from the field and shot hundreds or even thousands of rounds thru your rifle, not only that but its been raining and you've even managed to get mud and other dirt and crud in your weapon. All you'd have to do is use your cleaning rod to knock out the physical chunks of mud or whatever crud out the weapon, then drench your bore with the solvent of your choice, CLP or whatever, I like rem oil and their line of gun cleaners, then pull the snake thru the barrel. Drench the bore in solvent again for a second pass if needed, the barrel in just 2 passes will be shiney and as clean as it was when you first pulled it from the armory. Then I usually will load up the barrel with lubricant just to keep it clean. If its going to be sitting in a clean, dry, safe armory I usually soak it in a little excess oil and wipe it down again the next time I take it out to the field. If you have the correct caliber snake for the barrel then you should feel a little resistance pulling it thru just like you would if you are using patches instead, you can even make the snake a little thicker by bunching it up just a bit, its easier to show then tell. The boresnake is washable too so you can gently clean it with hot soapy water and leave it out for the sun to dry. This doesn't mean you should throw away your cleaning rod because you may still need it but this snake will be your go to tool when cleaning rifle barrels for average use.

Awesome and innovative!
I'll get straight to the point here .... I love the BoreSnake. Simple / straight forward. Easily the most innovative firearm cleaning product in quite a long time. What I love about this : - Cuts down significantly on cleaning time. ( no time wasted on using a rod anymore) - 1 simple cleaning tool versus 10 ( no need for a rod, bore attachments for the rod, patches, pads, wire cleaning attachments ) - easy to fit in a range bag to bring to the range - coils easily for storage - does a phenomenal job cleaning I have seen a few complaints about a "tight fit" ... I would argue the product is made that way purposely.

An excellent rifle bore cleaner for your firearm
An excellent rifle bore cleaner for your firearm. Well constructed, durable and does a super job of cleaning your rifle bore quickly and easily. Saves a lot of time from having to put cleaning rods together and saves wear and tear on muzzle and throat erosions as well. Highly recommend.

Best gun cleaning solution.
I purchased my 6th BoreSnake off of amazon for my .40. I have them in .22, .45, 12 gauge, 30 cal, 9mm. Yea it sucks you have to buy one for each caliber range, but you can't beat the ease and awesome cleaning abilities these little guys posses. I dab a little solvent on the front of the snake and on the brass brushes, and some oil on the tip of the tail. One pull through and the barrel is gtg. Quick and painless like, I don't have to swap between a brass brush, a patch adapter + multiple patches to clean it out. Not to leave out the fact that if its filthy, you can wash it! If you haven't tried one yet, you are missing out.

Great Easy to clean your gun at the range or and at home.
I have a bore snake for all of my pistol calibers. I did buy a larger size for each one. Like for a 9mm I would commend a 40 Cal. When I clean my pistol barrels at home I first use a little solvent and then use the bore snake and then a Jag and pads and the barrels are as clean as can be. I mainly shoot lead reloads so it says a lot for this product. With the loads I make I do not get any leading. I would highly recommend. They are a little costly but I have not had to replace any of the bore snake where guide rod brushes wear out pretty hast when you shoot a couple hundred rounds a week. I would say Buy as many as you can afford. I have them in my range bag and at home on my cleaning bench.

Quick, easy, effective barrel cleaner
Boresnakes are famous for being one of the fastest ways to clean and clear a barrel during cleaning. I use this bore cleaner first after field stripping, followed by some protective solvent and several patches to dry and wipe away excess fluid. I caution against using it by itself though, because they are very hard to clean and over time it is likely that you are transferring old grim back into the barrel. This is why followup with a cleaner and dry patches is important.

I still catch myself procrastinating a bore clean, but these snakes make it so easy.
