However I got around it by placing some baton either side and then tightening the device to the post that way. You have effectively made the post a little wider and it should then fit. Works well and takes a reasonable weight. **Q: Would this fix a broken fence post?** A: Depends how badly damaged the post was and were the damage was.i suppose it could hold the post together if fitted in the right spot. **Q: Will they Secure plastic panels** A: Sorry I don't know.
