My son is 11 wears a 12 shirt which size would he fit

My son is 9, wears a 10/12 shirt, I bought a large and they fit him perfectly. I would recommend a XL if a 12 normally fits your son.

what size is large in numbers?

Sorry. I really don't know. I ordered my son size 10-12 (wanting a shirt that was equivalent to a youth medium) but I felt that the size 10-12 ran more like a youth xs or small. Hope that helps.
