Life Protection Formula Chicken Small Breed Dry Dog Food, 15lb

The life protection formula with chicken and brown rice recipe by Blue Buffalo is hands down the very best! The quality is good and my dogs love it! The packaging is totally on point and it's a piece of cake to use! I really like that it's made for small dogs and that the pieces are small and easy for them to chew! I think it's great that has things like de-boned chicken, wholesome whole grains, and healthy fruits and veggies too! Plus there's no artificial flavors, no preservatives, no corn, no wheat, and no soy! It also helps support high energy needs, dental health, and skin and coat! Overall I give this product two great big thumbs way up and would definitely recommend it!

This is the best brand for dog food out on the market, I have 2 dogs and the oldest one needs the nutrition and his vet recommended this brand. My dogs enjoy it very much and I love how the ingredients and healthy and not loaded with a bunch of fake flavoring or harmful chemicals like other brands. One thing i do notice is this brand is on the pricier side but you get quality everytime, it's definitely worth the investment if you care about your pets health. Another thing the vet told me was the reason my dog was breaking out in hives and skin rashes was the allergic reaction he was having to the cheaper dog foods i was giving him, my younger dog wasn't affected but It was enough to switch over to this brand on behalf of my elderly dog's allergic reaction to cheaper brands. The texture of this brand is dry and hard but my dogs finish their food bowls every time Its comical to hear them crunching and digging into the bowls. Overall love this brand I always get the big bags and it lasts me a good 3 or 4 weeks before having to buy another. Definitely recommend for your fur babies. (

My dog loves The Star food. I feed it to her every day. And it also gave her the I wet the the little bit of wet that I put into it. Also, she loves it. It's a good value. She loves to taste. It's good for it's easy to use It's got a great appearance. It's nutritional value is great for her. The nutrition is good for her is what it meant to say. Well, my dog seems to really love it. So I buy it all the time. I have for years since I've had her. And I've had her for about 56 years now. So I buy it, I would buy it again and again, we gotta check it out and try it. It's really good for her

Before reading I do mention my dog’s stomach issues, I’m speaking on the positive for the brand and this particular item, so if you have a problem reading it, please go to another great review but know that this is a great buy for you and your small furry adult. I have a 15 year old Yorkie-poo and he adores this food. I use to give him beneful and pedigree years ago. Both for some reason made him constantly sick. My little man would eat then start coughing up mucus and throwing his food back up. He didn’t even want to eat his food, he would let it sit after awhile. He knew how he would feel after eating it and just said no most times. His his vet offered him to change foods that’s when I went from the beneful to pedigree due to people telling me how great it was for their dog and has less stomach issues. I did for a few months and It seemed better, less of him being sick but he still was very gassy. Then deciding to keep looking into stuff to help, my mom told me about blu Buffalo brand. She sent me a link to their website and a we went from there ( you can read up on different foods, wet and dry on their site) I went to the store an was suggested the small breed adult formula since at this time he was about 6 years old. We have never looked back. Within the first 2 weeks weening him from pedigree he was still a little sick but not as much. Within the month he was doing much better. I took him back to the vet a few months later an he was fine, no more bringing up the food or constant gassiness. He actually started eating up the food quickly compared to having to leave the food out since he would never eat when I scheduled him to eat it. Afterwards the food wasn’t in there more then 5 mins lol I do have to say that most ingredients in the other brands weren’t all that great for my dog and (Al lot of other dogs) so I do want to point that out but overall I can’t complain and I have a happy little furry senior citizen. Overall this is a great brand, I have tried the wet foods as well an since he’s older I do blend the dry up in a blender and give it to him. He loves it even more. Only con I have is probably like everyone else might have pointed out. It’s not about the food itself but the price. I know everything has gone up, but I use to pay about $24 for 15lbs now I’ll be lucky if I find one at $38. An Amazon has had vendors upwards as $45-$65 Which is ridiculous. It’s not about buying the best or buying what your dog needs when people are literally hiking up the price in general to help their pockets. This is Just for anyone that says the price is worth it for their fur baby.

I have always been happy with Blue Buffalo products. We ordered a small bag of the small breed dog kibble for our very picky little papillon. The food came in with a tear in the bag due to handling during shipping. It was inside a plastic bag rather than a box and was damaged in shipping so took off one star. The kibble is tiny pieces perfect for a tiny dog and has a very yummy aroma. I am sure most little dogs would love this food. Unfortunately, my little fussy boy will not eat it. He has turned up his little nose at some very expensive kibble so we were not all that surprised just hoping we would get lucky and this would appeal to him. I will donate the bag to my local shelter where I am sure some other little pup will enjoy every bite, If you are looking for a tasty, healthy small bite kibble option for your tiny dog, you may want to give this a try. Just because Boris turned up his nose, doesn't mean your pup will. haha

Dogs love the food. Healthier choice for them and doesn't give them an upset stomach. Love this dog food!

My baby is now a year old and this is the food for him. I started him on the puppy food. But at a year old it was time to switch him to adult. He seems to have adjusted well and there are no stomach issues. In fact he looks pointedly at his bowl when its time to eat. Tupac Barkurr prefers this brand over anything else. It comes to us quickly when we order here on Amazon. I have placed the back in a pour container and its easy to pour it into his dish.
