Mindful Nature® Wheat Straws - 100 All-Natural Drinking Straws - Single use, Disposable, Biodegradable, and Compostable

I bought these to try a craft and they actually didn't work very well for that (if you're trying to do something with soaked straw, these are a little too sturdy). BUT five stars for their intended purpose! They're stiff, a nice size and thickness for drinking regular liquids, don't leave a taste or degrade as you drink, and they're a great biodegradable alternative for when you want something disposable. The straw does split under too much pressure, so it wouldn't hold up to multiple uses, but the amount you get in the package for the price is great.

I love that these don't fall apart like a paper straw. They have a sweet, earthy feel exactly like you'd expect from a hollow plant stalk. They're a little thinner than a standard straw, more like the width of a cocktail straw, but I thought they were sturdy and fun. Perfect to garnish an eco-friendly drink. No noticeable flavor.

I stumbled across wheat straws last year when I couldn't find the normal paper ones in the store. Then I had trouble finding the wheat ones so I went to Amazon. These are natural so they do not have uniform sizes. I think they hold up well, I could use one all day without issue. I think this is a good price for the number you get.

Awful. These are literally made of fibrous straw, are brittle, and have a very thin diameter. I’ve used plenty of other plant-based products that feel like plastic. If you like chewing on straw hats, this might be for you.

These wheat straws are pretty good and sturdy if you're using for cold drinks and these do last for hours. They don't break apart or disintegrate like paper straws if you're using it for cold or room temp beverages. For hot beverages, it does break apart...somewhat. It gets soft and splits a bit, however it doesn't disintegrate or melt, but you may sip a bit of air while drinking. I was using it for coffee and tea so it wouldn't stain my teeth as much. The straw does float to the top, but in hot beverages after adjusting to the liquid and a few long sips, the straw eventually sinks down (for cold beverages may not go all the way down). The width and shapes of the straw differs for each straw. Overall, it is a good straw and I would recommend over paper and plastic. I may try bamboo next.

I could not get my usual wheat straws so bought these. These are only 8” long, my others were 8.5” long and so these barely make it to the edge of my travel mug. There are are lot of these straws that are just too small and weak so they crack easily and are not good for drinking. They last a long time with my coffees, but not as long as other manufacturers: I do use them over multiple days and long\multiple reheated morning coffees. so they do work, I have just been spoilt with the other manufacturers quality and quality control.

I actually use these for crafting and have never tried them for drinking out of. Although they look like they would stand up to that task. For crafting, they're perfect and a lot easier than using traditional straw.

These straws are great. It's easy to find eco-friendly straws, but not easy to find one that replicates the feel - and most importantly the lack of flavor - of a plastic straw. Paper straw disintegrate and make your drink taste like cardboard. These wheat straws work perfectly, don't fall apart, and don't change the flavor of your drink! I also appreciated that the packaging was green as well. Definitely adding to my regular Amazon order!
