Juat need 4 aaaa batteries - I bought a couple safes on desertcart and they all have failed badly. Way to complicated to put together. Wasting way to much time doing so. Really poor quality. Falling apart in just a week. Very thin walls and very bad advertising where they label it as a safe when its not. False advertising. Its not secure and to easy to break the safe. Sentry Safe stands out. The safe is ready out of the box. You dont waste time putting it together. You dont have to feel like you are a construction worker thats working on a complicated project. Its heavy and the walls are thick. You have the option to drill to the wall if you want too. Highly recommend checking them out. You seriously can't go cheap on a safe. Good for firearms ammo, and sensitive info. It has many good options for useage. Review: Purchased in 2021 AND HAD A FIRE June 13, 2023 - ****UPDATE***. ***UPDATE*** HERE IS WHAT YOU ALL HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR...ME TOO. Ok...today was the first day we could get into the home. WE FOUND THE SAFE. As you can see in the picture, the safe is completely burned on the outside. Then safe was also a little warped from the high temperature. Keep in mind that this safe has been sitting inside this house, under fire debris for over 2 months. We had to cut into the safe, as the front of the safe was completely melted. We opened up the safe and to our AMAZEMENT, all of the contents were not terribly damaged from the fire. This fire burned VERY HOT. I posted a picture of the fire-proof envelope we used to put a few hundred dollars into it and the money was still there!!! EVERYTHING DID NOT BURN. Now, there is one little issue...the safe took on water after the fire warped the box and water was able to get into the inside of the safe. It is ok...I WOULD BUY THIS SAFE AGAIN (when I can afford another one). People, do not hesitate in purchasing this safe, I am living proof that this safe can fall 15 feet and survive...can withstand a darn hot fire and survive...can somewhat withstand gallons and gallons of water and survive. BUY IT...I am your example. Rhonda. This review will be updated as soon as we can get into our home. I bought this safe a few years ago and really liked it. I had a little cash and used a fireproof envelope to protect the cash and then put it in the safe. The safe was easy to lock and unlock. Really, I would buy it again...but holding onto that thought until we can locate it. On June 13, 2023, our home burned and it is a total loss. The entire living area fell into the basement, so I am hoping the safe made it ok. I am not sure how hot the fire got, but it destroyed everything in its path. I did not see a review like this one, that's why I am writing this review...to let you know the unthinkable happened to me and I will let you know the outcome. I will update this review ASAP. ## Features - Fireproof safe is UL Classified to endure 1 hour at 1700Β°F and keep interior temperatures safe for irreplaceable documents, valuables, DVDs, and USBs; ETL Verified to withstand a 15 foot fall during a fire and remain closed - Waterproof safe is ETL Verified for 24 hours of protection in water up to 8 inches deep offering peace of mind in the event of a flood - Set your own digital combination fire safe with secondary locking key for strong security; digital combination safe features four live-locking bolts, steel construction, pry-resistant hinge bar, locking drawer, interior light, and bolt down hardware - Exterior: 16.3 in. Sentry Safe is NOT very open with information. Also they do NOT full fill their warranty. I got a safe with defective electronics that kills the batteries very quickly and will not open. I have replaced the batteries many times in seven months and even used batteries with 10 year exploration and they still die. Sentry Safe will not comply with the warranty on the box. They are very frustrating to call and deal with. Sorry I don't know about the magnet problem, they won't answer. **Q: Does this offering include the interior locking drawer in the $229.99 price? It is included in the iItem Description & in photos.** A: I will never know because they locked the keys inside and shipped it to me with dead batteries. I have no way of opening it. The instructions say in order to open it for the first time, we need to remove the shipping screw, located on the INSIDE. If you got yours open, I'm happy for you. Because they STOLE my money and sent me a worthless heavy junk box. **Q: What are the inside dimensions?** A: what are the exact interior dimensions of this safe? **Q: What are the OUTSIDE size measurements of this safe? Thank you!** A: So is it 18 5/8W x 17 1/4D x 23 3/4H or 19.3 x 18.6 x 23.8 inches? Two different answers were given. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Already set up out of the box. It has a light inside the door that lights up momentarily when the door is opened. Great feature. Real easy to use and easy to set new password. Would recommend one for anybody. Has an excellent warranty. Caution: It is very heavy. ## Frequently Bought Together - SentrySafe Waterproof and Fireproof Alloy Steel Digital Safe Box for Home with Code Button Keypad, 1.23 Cubic Feet, 17.8 x 16.3 x 19.3 Inches (exterior), SFW123GDC - SentrySafe Fire and Water Resistant Portable Bag with Zipper for Money or Document Storage, FBWLZ0SSC - Upgraded Two Pockets Fireproof Document Bag (2000℉), andyer 15”x 11”Waterproof Fireproof Money Bag for Cash with Zipper, Important Document Storage Organizer for Valuables, Legal Documents Safe --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/1852136-sentrysafe-1-hour-fireproof-safe-digital-keypad-1-2-cu](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/1852136-sentrysafe-1-hour-fireproof-safe-digital-keypad-1-2-cu) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
