Not a wimpy cover folks ! Heavy and well made. It’s a nice sky blue which looks so much nicer than dark colors which look depressing . For looking at a cover months on end , this blue is cheerful. Water does not pass thru the cover and I believe I’ll get many years from it .

This is my 7th winter with this pool here in central Kansas. I've tried a few different budget options. This season I used an "8 YR" cover. It actually lasted only five months and got totally destroyed.I just got this one "15 YR" installed today and I can tell it's much thicker than any previous cover I've purchased. I've bought covers from Leslie's, Doheenys and Amazon. This one seems to be the best material so far. I'll revisit this when I open the pool in spring.

I've probably purchased 8 - 10 solid covers during the past 19 years for my inground pool. They never seem to last more than 2 -3 years. But this cover is by far the thickest material I've ever gotten. So thick in fact that when I fold over some of the areas (because the cover is bigger than my pool) to put water tubes or water trays on top it takes a while to get the folded areas flat. But I can deal with that. Of course this is the first top-of-the-line solid cover I have ever purchased. Usually I get the middle grade cover and regret my purchase at some point.This is the first winter using this cover so time will tell but If I can get 3 - 5 years service from it I'll be happy. I would recommend purchasing this cover.

I would give this a negative star if I could. It is sold as a 15-yr warranty cover, which is a few steps up from the lowest level cover and one step down from the 20-yr cover. Unfortunately, the cover did now even make it through one season without developing a tear in it. The warranty requires paying for shipping of the replacement, which wil cost you an additional $42 to get another inferior cover. There are much better, longer lasting covers out there. Make your purchasing choice more wisely than I did.

Update: Bought this in 2017, finally throwing it out in 2023. We would likely have thrown in out in 2021, but we actually haven't removed it since then. Now it finally started tearing and has a few gaping openings, and the pool is filled with tadpoles...The "15-year" rating on these covers has to be for perfect conditions, like no snow and no chance of leaves or nearby airborne agriculture causing algea. I don't ever actually expect to get more than 3 years out of a pool cover anymore, so 6 out of this one is pretty good.Original:So far, so good. It's held up to about 6 months of a mild northeast winter. No wear showing on the edges, and it looks like water is not seeping through the seams. I pumped it completely dry a few days ago, and it stayed dry until the next precipitation. Other Amazon covers had inexplicably worn through or stretched at the seams, allowing pool water to seep up and refill the cover if the cover pump sat on it.Happy with this season so far. Hoping I get 3 more out of it.
