Packaging is too filmsy for an antenna that is to fragile
Packaging is too filmsy for an antenna that is to fragile. The antenna is 8 ft long and fiberglass. The packaging is rolled cardboard so when your favorite carrier put some boxes on top your precious antenna it will broke. Word of advice: drive to your local shop and buy your antenna. You can read others comments and see that a lot of them arrives broke. Then you'll have to drive to return it.

Just Great!
This antenna is great, I have a 25 watt marine base radio, it was getting out max about 10 to 12 miles and being picked up by a 5 wat handheld...no open water either. I will buy nothing but Shakespeare antennas, simply the best. Took a while to get it but well worth the wait after installation.

Junk 5101 Shakespeare
This antenna is junk. Made with a thin plastic tube. Put it on new last fall 2024. Shrink covered the boat as I have over the years my original fiber glass Shakespeare lasted 38 years without a problem. Stay away from this it is not flexible.
