The Woman + Offspring Limited Edition [Blu-ray]

The media could not be loaded.  I love it when Arrow Films add in a second film as an extra. Even more so when they give the films such amazing transfers.OFFSPRING (Bonus Movie)A group of cannibalistic cave dwellers attacks a house looking to eat the occupants and steal their baby to add. to their clan. The film has a real mean streak to it and doesn't stop for a minute. It is in your face, bloody and exciting. There is some realy weight with the characters as you know straight away that no one is safe in this world and that very few if any are going to make it to the end of the film. The look of the film has a kind of grimy almost exploitation feel to it.THE WOMANIn this follow up to the Woman we have a change of fate as the Cleek family and their patriarchal leader capture the woman to "civilize" her. This is a true screen villain. Chris cleek is a functioning psychopath, hiding his true nature behind a fake smile and welcoming demeanor. The film is all about an oppressive force and the impact it hs on his family. It gets into some really bloody and shocking horror at the end. This is a meticulously put together film, expertly acted and staged.I not only recommend you pick up this film I INSIST you get it. This Limited Set includes Offspring, once that sells out it's gone.

This limited edition 2020 Arrow Bluray is far superior to the original release but if you get to watch this film on any platform it is amazing.With this release you also get the prequel Offspring included and although its picture quality is lower both films have been remastered in 4K.Both films are slam packed with extras and commentaries which should keep you going if that's your thing. Also included is a very nice booklet that is an excellent "toilet read..... or wherever if your not a bloke x)Pollyanna McIntosh's performance in the woman is oscar worthy and you can see exactly what she is communicating with subtle movements from the nose upwards in specific scenes. Lucky McKee's direction is exceptional and a totally different style from Dallas' direction in Offspring.With Vanessa McKee doing the artwork this package is definately worth every single penny and is one of my favourite Arrow releases to date.Now go, bugger off and press "Buy Now"....What are you waiting for?....Go......Now xx

When you get past the first 5 mins of 'huh?' this is pretty good. A great package as well with the prequel added for free. A shame that it doesn't have the sequel as well in the same set as would have paid a few pounds more for that.The picture is that dead digital picture as well which makes it look a bit flat. The ending could have been a massive crowd please as well if they had just tweaked it a bit. Great fun.

Excellent limited edition release from arrow the way it should be, no crappy box or booklet, when this sell out you will only be able to get the standard single disc edition of the woman (Like blood rage or the prey)Each film gets it's own blu-ray, they look and sound excellent, loaded with great extras. Must for all horror collectors

Nice limited edition double pack. Woman and offspring. Must for any collector.

Worth a watch. Brilliant movies, great entertainment.
