Everything's bigger in Big Sky country, including the hearts of the Montana Men Wide open sky, rolling green hills . . . Gillian Tucker could get used to life in the country—one far from the violence she left behind in San Francisco. Warily accepting an invitation to the Montana ranch that belongs to her grandfather, a man she's never met, Gillian hopes this is the haven she seeks. A sexy, overbearing cowboy who shines a light on her well-hidden dreams is not at all part of her plans. Blake Bowden's reckless past is far behind him, and as a newly named co-owner of Three Peaks Ranch, he's not taking any chances. Until a beautiful, haunted woman arrives, igniting a desire he shouldn't feel. His partner's granddaughter is strictly off limits. But the longer Gillian's there, the stronger the pull grows between them. And when a new danger surfaces, Blake will do anything to keep her safe…even if it means risking everything for her heart. Review: Shirley's review - Love this author her books grip me from the start Review: Sweet romantic thriller - The characterisation is good. The plotline is engaging, if a little slow in places. There are a couple of sex scenes and some swearing.

Great continuation of the series!
Gillian Tucker shoots her father right before he tosses her out a window. Hopped up on meth and trying to force her little brother to go with him, her father pulls a gun on her. After being beaten by him for most of her life, she realizes one of them is about to die and it wasn't going to be her. She was fourteen when her brother was born and when her mother died shortly thereafter, Gillian is the one who's raised him. She'll protect him at any cost. After killing her father in self-defense she's in bad shape. Having suffered numerous injuries in the fall, if she wants to keep Justin, her brother, with her she has no choice but to accept her grandfather's invitation to stay at his ranch in Montana. She doesn't know the man but promises Justin that if he's anything like their father they won't be staying. Blake Bowden is part owner of Three Peaks Ranch. He manages the place and handles all the paperwork. It's home to him. When Gillian arrives all he has is a sketchy account of what happened. When he sees just how bad she's been hurt, he wants to kill her father all over again. He's also amazed to discover she brought her brother along. They didn't know the boy existed. Blake can also see all the fear and uncertainty in both of them. He knows they have their work cut out for them, earning their trust and getting them to feel comfortable on the ranch. Gillian finds everything she could possibly want at Three Peaks Ranch. Love, acceptance, a true home for the first time in her life, and to her astonishment, happiness. And then there's Blake. She's never met anyone like him. He's always watching over her, making sure she has everything she needs. He plays with Justin, has taught him how to ride, and treats him like his little brother. He also inspires all kinds of feelings she isn't quite sure how to deal with. She's always put Justin first, never stopping to think about her own desires, but for the first time in her life she's thinking about a future - with Blake. A truly enjoyable story. Loved the characters, liked the fact there was also an element of danger involved and that Gillian had some issues from her past to overcome in order to move into the future. Very good read. Definitely recommend!

I was able to complete a new series by a new author easily and economically. Interesting characters with a solid family connection (a story line I connect with ) a hot romance set in a part of America that is both beautiful , remote and very different from my own. This makes this book at the very least an educational, geographical read !! lol Loved it ! The service from Amazon was prompt and accurate and easy enough I will do it again !

Very Emotional
While At Wolf Ranch was all about the gripping suspense, When It’s Right is heavy on the emotions and had me tearing up at the first chapter. Gillian Tucker has suffered long-term physical and emotional abuse at the hands of people she should have trusted with her life – her parents – and she does not trust easily. Gillian has taken care of her younger brother, Justin from birth and when faced with danger, she protects him and her decision leads her to her grandfather’s ranch in Montana where she meets Blake Bowden. Gillian has never had anyone do anything good for her and is wary and distrustful of the motives of both her grandfather and Blake but is forced to accept help from them due to her physical injuries and the fact that she hopes that the ranch would be a chance for Justin to have a normal childhood. Blake Bowden is a horse-trainer, partner with Gillian’s grandfather in the Three Peaks Ranch and is also the younger brother of Gabe from At Wolf Ranch. Blake has been a little envious of his brothers, Gabe and Caleb’s relationships and when he meets Gillian, he wants the same with her. However he realizes that her experiences have made her skittish and he has to work on getting her to trust him. Gillian is a great character. My heart just about broke for her in the beginning, but her strength and her will are remarkable. She fights hard to heal inside and outside, to trust in basic human goodness and to love. And Blake. How can’t one fall in love with Blake and where can I find one of him? He was so patient with Gillian and so protective of her. He didn’t demand more than she was willing to give and as much as he wanted her, waited for her to come to him. When It’s Right is a deeply moving story about learning to trust in humanity and love and worth reading. *I received this book for free from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review.
