The towels arrived as promised. They are large and nice quality. They will pack in a very small space. I have not used one on a trip yet, but tried it at home. It is a different experience than a thick terry cloth towel, but worked well after a shower. I think it will be very handy in a tropical climate.

Light weight, dries quickly, will use these for sauna and swimming pool.

I had no idea what to expect when offered a sample of this pestemal towel, but I thought it looked pretty enough to be a light throw or pretty bed cover if it didn't turn out to actually be a towel. But it IS actually a towel, just like the terry cloth towels most of us are familiar with. This is thin, like a soft cotton bedsheets, but absorbent. It dries very quickly so it doesn't get that funky smell my regular bath towel sometimes gets mid-week, especially in summer. The trick to the pestemal towel is to wash it a few times before it's first use. No bleach or harsh detergent and stick with cool water and let it air dry. My husband didn't believe this towel would actually dry but he's sold too.It's very generous in size, about the size of a typical throw that you might keep on the sofa or chair in the living room. It takes up a lot less space than an ordinary towel. It's soft and feels wonderful on the skin. It's also versatile, I've thought of several ways it can be used:❇ as a regular bath towel❇ as a pool or beach towel❇ as a swimsuit cover up❇ a shawl for cooler temperatures or air conditioning❇ a table runner or table cloth❇ a coverlet for the bed❇ snuggle blanket for the sofaWe're going to be doing some traveling this summer and space is very limited. I'm buying another pestemal towel for my husband and each of my 6 children to use on the trip for all of the reasons listed above. What a great find!

Never have I seen a towel so thin.I actually had to double check the label to make sure I was sent a towel and not something else.Yup, the label said towel and the item looks EXACTLY like it does in the picsLet me tell you though.... this thing is thin and from the moment I saw it ...I was skeptical of it's abilities as a towel.I'm not sure how a towel can be so thin...and so absorbent but this thing wicks water up like nothing I've seen before!Besides being awesomely absorbent...this is a long towel... which is good because I'm a plus sized gal and some of the towel sizes sold in stores are just not as long as I'd like.The quality is good...it washes well and the colors don't bleed. The pestemal hammam bath towel is a large towel that is perfect for the beach. I love the color and the design because its fits well to my needs. I live in a place where there is lot of beautiful beaches and the pestemal hammam is now my go to beach towel. It is also soft and light unlike the regular beach towels they sell in the store. And if I decide to walk around, I can use this pestemal bath towel as a beach dress too. I am a mom and will have my baby soon, this pestemal hammam bath towel is also perfect to use as stroller cover when we go to the beach because the material is breathable. I can even use this towel as a mat when me and my kids go to the park because it has a large size. And because its light weight, I can fold it, wear it, or put it on my neck as a scarf when we go to a place like park, beach or just walking around. I love that this towel has a lot of purpose. I've never used a Turkish towel before, but this one is fantastic. The color is a beautiful aqua and looks much more attractive than other bath towels I have in my cabinet. The towel dries me off after a shower as expected and actually is quick dry itself, which is a nice bonus. The towel is so thin that I didn't know if it would dry me as well as other towels, but it did just as well, if not BETTER. Great addition to my bath towels and now I want MORE.
