Easier to handle than traditional hoses
My husband doesn’t get mad that I put the hose back the wrong way anymore - for that reason, this is a great buy. The hose shrinks right after I shut off the water, and it stays at the right place with no mess. It’s very lightweight & easy to move around even when it’s full of water. We have been using it for over half a year, and it still works wonderfully. Really happy with this purchase.

Amazing type of hose
Amazing type of hose, I love it. I got sick of wrestling heavy, stiff traditional hoses around for doing what should be quick, simple things, and the struggle of getting the twist out of them when wrapping on a hose hanger. These are perfect for light-duty use; watering plants, washing a car, spraying a deck off, spraying out gutters. I wouldn't buy if planning on heavy use, dragging around a rocky area or across concrete or asphalt a lot, stuff like that. The outer material is a rubbery/plastic/nylon or something material that feels almost like a fabric. There's no way it would hold up to extreme usage. Other than that, it's perfect. At first glance I thought my skepticism when first buying one was well-founded, that there was no way it was even close to being as long as listed. But when water pressure is applied it starts to stretch out and gets incredibly longer. When you turn off the water supply, and keep the flow going with the valve or sprayer attachment, it starts shrinking back shorter. Makes it neatly self-draining and way shorter for wrapping on a hanger or hose reel. With water drained out it feels like a rope, it's that flexible, and ultra lightweight. The fittings are brass and even includes a shutoff valve for the sprayer end. Very handy if you want to switch sprayers or attached an insecticide or fertilizer spray bottle without having to shut off the water supply and relieve the pressure. Zero leaks at either connection end, too, something I usually had trouble with on traditional hoses after not much usage. Do be aware that the inside diameter is smaller than most regular hoses, so you won't get quite as much water volume flow, may or may not be an issue if using with a pressure washer and I haven't tried that yet. Fine for most other things unless you're really needing to blast something. So what I thought might be a cheesy gimmick thing and a waste of money turned out to be great. I don't dread uncoiling a stiff hose off a hanger and struggling with it anymore. I'm using 3 different ones at the house now on 3 outside spigots, one 100-footer and two 50-foot. Note for the available lengths I ended up getting two or three different "brands", but they are identical in appearance and hardware and how they're made. If they look exactly the same in item pictures, they probably are. I'm guessing the same manufacturer is making them with more than one brand name.

It was good while it lasted
This hose has lots of advantages. Light weight, won't kink, shrinks when not under pressure so it's easier to store, then expands greatly when water pressure is applied so it reaches much farther than its storage length. The disadvantage - it's not very UV (sun) resistant. I have two of these hoses, one in front of the house and one in back. The back one is always in the shade and it still doing well. The front hose gets exposed to sun for a few hours at midday so I always kept it in in a plastic lift-top hose reel box (without reeling it up) to protect it from UV damage. However, sometimes I didn't disconnect it from the hose bib when I stored it away so the last two feet or so of the hose was sometimes exposed to the sun a few hours a day. Other times I went to the trouble to disconnect it so not even the last couple of feet was exposed. After only a little over a year of use, the hose burst and is now useless. It burst only in that last two feet that was sometimes exposed to the sun, so that makes me suspect it was due to poor UV resistance. The rest of the hose is still fine, and the one in back which is always in the shade is still fine even though it's the older of the two. Compare that to old fashioned garden hoses, which for all of their faults can lie in the sun for years and not fail. That being said the benefits of the expanding hose outweigh this one disadvantage so I'll probably order another one as a replacement, only this time I'll make sure to keep it completely out of the sun.Another problem - on both of my hoses, the shut-off valve knob at the outlet end fell off. For one of them I managed to find the screw and put it back together. On the second one I didn't see where it fell off and was never able to find it. Having a shut-off valve on the outlet end is very handy, however. Just remember to check it every once in a while to make sure it's not coming loose.

Didn't last very long
I liked that it was easy to manage. It only lasted a short time because it frayed where the fabric met disappointed. It sprung leaks at these spots.

This hose is cool....
Few things are as annoying as struggling with a dirty wet hose after watering something. This hose is amazing in that it stretches and shrinks on it's own. You turn on the water and the hose expands. When you are done, just turn off the water and spray any remaining water out of the hose, and as you do, it shrinks back up. No extra handling, no rolling. It goes from a length of 50 feet to about 15 feet, which for me is very manageable for storage along the side of my house. My only complaint about the hose is that it has a pretty narrow diameter so doesn't have a great volume of spray. It is also a fabric type material, so I am not sure how durable it will be, but for now, I love it.

Great hose for a small yard
I'm never going back to a conventional garden hose for my small yard, now that I've tried an expandable hose. This is light, and folds up easily (not stiff, like an old-fashioned hose), and when emptied of water shrinks down to fit back in its little bag.And it's kind of fun to watch it shrink back down to the original size when the water pressure is released: it's almost like it's alive...The nozzle it comes with is good too, which is a nice plus.It also comes with a sort of bracket that you can screw into your wall, if you want to mount the hose off of the ground, but I didn't try using that. (The hose is small and inconspicuous enough, when emptied of water, that I just leave it behind a shrub, next to the house.)
