Q: What's the difference between the w3de4820 and the de4820?

Q: What is the spacing between the inlet and outlet pipes on this filter? Need to see if it will line up with my existing multiport valve which is 8"

That will not fit. Fitting Center to Fitting Center is 5".

Q: Can I use this filter in an above ground pool? We have a 33’ above ground pool and have a sand filter that won’t clear the pool up.

I don’t see why not as long as you are using 1 1/2” pvc piping

Q: What is the difference between the w3de6020 & the de6020? both 60 sq ft but "w3" is $500 more ?

It is probably a cartridge filter, they cost more than a grid filter. Check the specs to confirm this. This comment is made without confirmation.
