Bonito Flakes Human Grade Premium Extra Large Delicious Treat (4 Oz)

We are really happy with these bonito flakes. We also tried the other, “original” brand to compare and there was no comparison. These flakes are much larger and packed to reduce crumbs, the other brand was all crumbs. We have already bought more and our cats love them! We had to hid the bag well (in the cabinet, behind other items) because they were getting very acrobatic in knocking the bag down when it was on any shelf and trying to open/eat through the bag to get to the flakes.

I like to eat bonito dry, right out of the bag. This one is sliced thinner than paper and it’s a little bit chewy but the flavor is there. Not too fishy but giving the best part of savory tuna taste. It seems like it would make a nice broth if you choose to enjoy it that way. I was having kind of a low energy day and this package arrived just in time. I ate about 1/4 cup of it and I can feel my energy levels lifting as I type this. I think I’m going in for a little bit more. Fresh and reasonably priced.

I should have listened to the other reviews. They came already turning brown instead of the nice pink color when it's fresher. And of course you can't return it so I'm glad I tried the small bag first. Don't waste your money on this brand.

I loved the price for the amount of product but it was so so flakes compared to other bonito products. It seems like the flakes were either shaved extra small or they were dried to long.

My cats love bonito flakes. It is by far their favorite treat and I give them some every night. This is the 4th brand off Amazon that I've tried. The good: - My cats enjoy it BUT for some reason they take their time smelling it before digging in. Not so with other brands. I don't know what this means other than the smell is a bit off to cats but it tastes ok - It was a good value at $9.99 on 11/25/20 The bad: - They are marketed as "moist" but they are pretty dried out. I've found this to occur with every brand I've tried and it seems to vary from bag to bag - The flakes are marketed as "extra large" but they are about the same size as other cat brands on Amazon - I was about to re-buy on 12/29 but changed my mind when I see the price has increased 30% in only a month
