In the beginning, I wasted a lot of time, materials and money, because of this. Most of these hard lessons ended up not being hard at all. Some of the folks doing the presenting, just didn't do a good job introducing the system, and how it works. They assume you know stuff you don't know, and it confuses you. That's what happened to me. I won't get that far into the details. But JUST TRUST ME. Just cut the pattern/figure stencil on the smart vinyl, weed away the excess, transfer it onto the transfer tape (sold separately), press down on the object of choice, and burnish it with a scraper or credit card. Voila! Your design transfers seamlessly, and permanently, onto the object. This permanent vinyl worked really well for my crafting projects. The blue color is rich and looks great, and the vinyl was easy to cut and weed.
