I needed to get rid of a rampant ant problem that was all around my house, and coming into my house at a few points. This stuff did it.(Sure it's annoying that they over-package it in a big container, but the amount you get is true to the weight. They just over-packaged it. The same as how Amazon sends small items in bigger boxes than necessary. But the product is great)I used it a little different than the instructions though, because I live in a desert, and the effectiveness relies on regular watering or rain to dissolve and spread the treatment.SO... I got the idea to put a few tablespoons in some old gallon-jugs with water (that I labeled as 'bug poison'), and let them 'steep' for a day or few. Then I poured that into the areas that seemed like the ant-hill zones, and around the entire perimeter of my house up against the foundation, etc.Worked wonders!When pouring it over known ant-home / active areas, I made sure to totally saturate it, AND stand there with a spray bottle of windex, so you can spray-kill instantly all the ants that come scrambling out when you pour this 'poison-tea' over their zone.When pouring around the edges of my house, I made sure to get it against the base, as well as saturated into the ground, and did 2 passes. The agent disperses more evenly this way since once the water dries, it leaves the residue thinly everywhere.Also worth noting, I did not empty out the granules each time.... they would stay at the bottom of the jug, so I'd re-steep them a few times to make a few batches, before finally dumping them out strategically after maybe the 3rd or 4th batch.I am very very satisfied with the results. Nothing else worked for me and I tried a LOT of things for a year, before finally finding this and having success.Good luck out there!

Bonide 788 Eight insect Control are granules of systemic insecticide that are applied to the drip line of all non-edible plants and is effective for 6 weeks. It is an easy way to control insects without having to spray and worry about rain wash off. I have many varieties of hybrid rhododendrons and Korean azaleas that are large plants, and spraying insecticide would be a full time job. I begin using the product after the last freeze and until late Fall. It is very effective is discouraging or killing all of the chewing insects in my area. Remove all leaves around the base of the plant to facilitate quick absorption into the soil. Great product!!!

This did a great job killing off most of the grubs and such in my garden bed, but it didn't last for very long with regular watering. The bugs are back, but in significantly less force than last year

i saw many reviews saying it doesn't weigh the full 3 pounds. this almost kept me from buying.so when i got it, i put it on my digital food scale and weighed it. it weighs 3.60 pounds. the .60 is the container weight. so yes, it does weigh 3 pounds. don't let the complaints throw you off.i tried weighing it also by stepping on a scale. that scale gave me only a 1 pound weight. so if you are trying to weigh it by stepping on a scale with it, you won't get an accurate weight. you need to use a food scale.

Do I wish there was more? Yes. Did I receive the amount I paid for? Yes. Does it really work? YES - love that I can use on my edible plants. Just sprinkle, water really good, and the next day the ants are GONE. I have only had one experience that needed a second application, but the infestation was really, really bad so I'm not surprised! This is a must have for covered planter boxes

It had no impact on wire worms. I bought several of these with no noticeable effect. When I checked for wire worms they were still alive after at least a month use of two applications per week.

Wow. This is what you need to solve your garden grub issues. My compost pile was having grub issues. This fit and worked fast!!! I gave two applications a week a part. A month later no more grub issues. Well worth it.
