To preserve the teak in its natural color for an extended period of time SEMCO is proud to offer our SEMCO Teak Sealer. SEMCO Teak Sealer is a solvent based teak finish with water-like viscosity containing pigments, mildewcide, UV inhibitors and moisture protection. SEMCO does not contain silicone, varnish, polymers or exotic oils. When SEMCO Teak Sealer is properly applied to teak, the wood will look as if it has nothing on it, yet it will not turn gray or support the growth of mildew. Surface soil can be washed away with mild detergent, and with seasonal recoating the teak will be preserved in its natural state for many years.

Great Product for keeping teak warm and honey- hued!
Some people like their Teak furniture to look silvered and grey. I don't. This product makes teak look like it is brand new. It imparts a honey golden hue to the teak and helps it stay that way. Against all my research and advice, I pressure washed my teak chest, then treated it with the SEMCO sealer. It looks beautiful. It is easy to use, just paint on with a sponge brush, then wipe off excess and repeat. It does not smell bad and is easy to clean up after. I highly recommend this product to keep your teak looking warm and honey hued. I also purchased the 2 part SEMCO cleaner and sprayer. I have not used it yet but will review it after I try it. ONE THING. If you are paint can illiterate, let me give you a tip on how to open the locking lid of SEMCO products. Use pliers, and lift the edges of the plastic locking ring all around the perimeter of the paint can. It will come off eventually!

The best protection for teak outdoor furniture!
My teak patio furniture is ALWAYS covered when we’re not using it, but after reading a million articles, postings, etc. this was by far the product that was most recommended. It’s a little pricy, but not nearly as expensive as replacing all of my furniture. To get good coverage I applied it with a pump style garden sprayer and it made it a lot easier to get between slats and apply an even coating.

Helps prevent teak deck staining and looks terrific
Product is easy to apply following a complete sanding of the deck. The 20+ year teak was in need of clean up and my first instinct was to leave it alone and allow to weather. The problem is stains from wine, chips or whatever. So far Semco has prevented staining . We'll see how long it lasts but only took an hour to apply. Harsh cleaners tend to pull out the pulp of the wood leaving the rubber inseams "proud". Hoping this prevents all that.I used Clear and am very pleased with the results on just sanded wood. Natural was a bit too yellow for my taste. The product leaves the wood feeling very similar to untreated instead of a varnished or or similar clear coat.

Easy to use and looks pretty good
I bought a new teak table and six chairs. Each merchant that we spoke to said to let the furniture air out for two to four weeks and then apply a sealant not teak oil. I ended up waiting about six weeks and by then our furniture had turned fairly gray - it sits on our pool deck and one end of the table is in close to full sun all day.I washed the furniture and then applied two coats of the teak sealer. It did a great job eliminating the gray and adding color to our furniture. Unfortunately, the color is a little darker and orange colored compared to the original color of the teak furniture. It still looks a lot better than gray in my opinion, but does not have the great look of the original teak. It went on very easily. It is fairly watery (like a stain) and is easily absorbed. You need to stir it periodically to maintain a consistent and even color. After it dried some areas had excess pigment on them and I had to wipe the surfaces in order to remove the excess pigment or it would have gotten all over our clothing.I can't really address durability yet (has only been a few weeks), but the end of the table in direct sun is showing some fading compared to the end in the shade.

Restores Teak Furniture
After cleaning out deck furniture with Semco 2 part cleaner we applied this Semco Sealer. Our furniture is better looking than when it was brand new. Honey was our color of choice. Beware, this is very thin and runny, therefore you will have to buy extra product for at least two coat application. It is messy but the end results is stunning.

Nice no color finish
Nice no color finish. I used this on a bath vanity that was whitewashed and I had sanded down. I wanted a natural look - no yellow or honey or brown. I tried the Golden Care Teak Protector which had a bit of colorant as did another teak oil. For my purposes this is great to seal without color. I did apply the sealant outside and did not notice any strong odors and think it could be applied indoors. Goes on like water.

Excellent
Perfect for finishing my teak dining table. Sanded my table to remove old finish that was peeling. Easy to use. Leaves a nice natural finish that so far has not weathered after several months outdoors. Highly recommend

Not quite good as new, but better than it was!
We bought a used teak couch. It had a little bit of grey and some of the original color. The sealant didn't make it look new but it made it look better. It was easy to use, and easy to wash up from. I'm happy with the purchase and with our couch!
