Yes, the body is plastic/resin (you choose), but it's light and strong and looks good. This one has a fairly thin strap with a sliding buckle type clasp, though. Probably it's weak point. Not a fan of sliding buckle clasps. It's hard to get the exact location on the strap that you can push the clamp down on. Popular with Milanese straps. But they make replacements for that, too. All in all, it's a cool Casio watch. I own three of these. Had this since March, light scratches on the screen and clasp, but that's not an issue for me. Clasp is really satisfying but is harder to close after a while. Backlight viewing angles aren't the best, but the brightness is decent. Fits good on the wrist, and the size can be changed.
