We absolutely love these “plates.” They are perfect for saucy pasta dishes but we’ve also used them for chili. Going strong after two years even with a teen who likes to hide them under his bed. No chips on any of them. I rely a lot on Amazon reviews and it’s for sure gotten harder to weed out the good ones, but this is a good purchase! And it’s a nice neutral style that fits in nicely with the basic white porcelain dishes set that I bought years ago. They clean very easily and any knife marks can be removed with a little bit of BKF.

Size, shape and heft is perfect for pasta, salads, and rice dishes. I love the mix of colors, too. Fun for a family, but still elegant-feeling.

As you can see from these photos, we bought a lot of Sweese. We have plenty for the next 20 years. We have double the amount seen in these photos as the other half is stored in our basement for the future. We have given away all the enormous quantities we had of Franciscan ware, Vernon ware, and Fiesta. We still have a bit of Homer Laughlin restaurant ware, though. The big plus with pasta bowls is the food does not fall so easily off the “plate” and works especially well with serving many guests standing or sitting without a table. I have bought several sets of both pasta bowls 22 ounce and 30 ounce in white, beige and blues. Nowadays I like the beige best. Also I have bought many sets of cups, a variety of styles and colors from 6 ounce cup& saucer cappuccino sets to 20 ounce tea mugs. The pasta bowls I have matched with older clear glass lids from Pyrex/Anchor Hocking to use in microwave cooking. I use white in microwave cooking avoiding eventual damage to the colorful glazes. I have rid my kitchen of mid-century dishes in favor of safer contemporary choices such as Sweese and Sweejar, although we still use Hall china teapots (no micro, no dishwasher on those). I am impressed that some of my favorite restaurants are using Sweese as restaurant ware. I find it holds up. Over the past 4 years of collecting Sweese I have dropped a few mugs on a laminate floor with no chips no breakage ever occurring. In summary, Sweese produces a quality dinnerware that is both long-living durable, attractive and fun to use!

I love this style of bowl and wanted something bright, versatile, and good quality. With the exception rigid foods like bone-in steaks, it can be used for just about all meals you can think of. I appreciate the bright colors of this set. I actually use them in tandem with another set that doesn't offer this style of bowl and the colors all match part of my set, giving it a special flair. They remind me of Fiestaware, without the pricetag. They are microwave and dishwasher safe and the glaze is good quality - it hasn't chipped and there are no weird little lumps like I have seen in other sets. I bought this set in January of 2023 and it is still in great condition, despite daily ure and casual handling. It has some very fine cracks, that I expect to see in ceramics after extensive microwave usage, but they are cosmetic and very slight. I love this set and have considered getting another, just to allow me to serve others at times.

Bowls arrived on time, well packed and without any flaws or damage. Perfect for my needs. Will look for more colorful options going forward for sure!

I like these plats - took me a while to decide which ones to get and the reviews were mostly positive. What made me get them was that most people said they were hard to break, but unfortunately one suddenly cracked after less than 3 months of use - this is without kids and with very gentle handling. Still they are a nice size and colors. Not sure how to replace the one that cracked though.

I love these pasta/salad bowls. The color (torquoise) is rich, the finish glossy and smooth, the size just right for eating salad or pasta or any meal with messy side dishes, like beans or rice. And because beans, rice or quinoa are frequently on the menu at my house, I actually use them more often than I do my dinner plates! I like that these dishes are not too heavy, and yet feel substantial in the hand. I bought them to replace four, similarly size, white open stock ceramic salad/pasta bowls I bought at a big box store that chip way too easily. I'd already replaced two and wanted something that would hold up better to the occasional bump. Having purchased sets of Sweese's coffee mugs and 10 oz bowls in the not too distant past, I knew the product I would be getting would be of high quality. I was right. NOTE: There was a slight, repetitive, imperfection on the rim of four of the six bowls I initially received. But with Prime and free returns, I was able to return them, get my refund added to my Amazon account, and have them replaced in just a few days! This new set totally lives up to my expectations.

Quality & beauty: This set is very pretty. Colors are bright and simply amazing. I visited a family member last year who had Fiesta dinnerware & fell in love with those beautiful colors. However, I always prefer porcelain over stoneware etc ( all other materials that are of a lower quality compared to porcelain). Swiss dinnerware set made from porcelain & therefore is more durable, less bulky & not as heavy as stoneware. Customer service. I rarely write the reviews. But I would like to acknowledge that customer service of Swiss company is excellent. When I received my order, one of the plates (yellow color) was cracked a bit, seemed like factory defect. I emailed the company. They replied right away offering 30% discount. Because it happened to be my favorite color of all the plates, I declined the offer & asked that I’ll be willing to wait as long as I receive the yellow plate replacement. Since they were not able to send me only that plate, I received a whole new set a few days later(free of charge) . Thank you! I highly recommend this product & will buy more. P.S. the picture does not include all the colors because some dishes were in the dishwasher when I was taking the pic.

Salads, soups, main dishes, desserts...these bowls are perfect for them all. These come in a great palette of "seaside" colours and are a joy to eat from.

Most bowls in this style are an inch or two larger in diameter. These dishes are the perfect size to help with portion control.

BEAUTIFUL COLOURFUL BOWLS I love these bowls, really, I love them, I use them almost everyday. I have wanted a set of pasta bowls for years. These are such cool colours, and are fantastic for all sorts of food, not just pasta. They don't overheat too much in the microwave, I could take my supper out with my hands, but to be safe, use hot mitts. This type of dinnerware have small imperfections that make them unique from one another. They are well worth the money to have such pretty bowls to enjoy your food in. As long as they don't increase the price.
