Eye Rolling Ball Pen, Extra Fine Point 0.5mm, Black Ink, 3 pens per Pack (Japan import) [Komainu-Dou Original Package]

I bought these for urban sketching. I do a pencil sketch, then I finalize my line art with these markers, and then I watercolor over them. They have excellent use for this purpose and work fantastically. The ink is very solid and opaque, the lines are reliable, and these are awesome pens. They don't feather they don't bleed they don't go through paper unless it's extremely thin, and I'm very happy with this purchase. I would highly recommend any of the super ink pens by uni. I have some uni ball pens that I bought at the end of the 90s and in the early 2000s, and they still write like champs if I haven't used them for a while. There's lots of ink in them and they work a long time. I have to say I've never had a product from this company that I was disappointed in. They're white gel markers are the best on the market. If you like gelly rolls, you were going to love their white gel pens. They're even more noticeably opaque and the ink goes on excellently..

Bought these for ink sketches prior to water coloring and they work great!

I use these for drawing and then adding watercolor paint. They have a nice smooth line and are waterproof.

I write a lot for work and was getting pretty awesome thumb and wrist pain from some tenosynovitis in by thumb. Since buying these pens that pain has all.but reduced. The grip is great, although just a little narrow, and the ink comes out super easy, at times coming out too easy and making some large blots. It also surprisingly ran out of ink quickly on the first pen in the pack but has been fine since. My hands are way happier now and will definitely be my pen of choice for documentation.

I use it for smooth line drawings. Excellent. Lasts a long time but I buy a lot at one time.

Been using these for 40 years (not the same pen, though). Why change now?

These are my favorite rolling ball pens to sketch with when I'm not using fountain pens. I need to make a correction from the product's description. they write that it's "water based ink". When, what (I think) they meant to say, is that it is 'waterproof ink". The ink is fast drying and once dry, it will not bleed or smudge. This is important to us urban sketchers who do watercolor on top of our ink sketches. If this is important to you also, then this is the pen for you. Consistant line, no blobbing, quick drying and waterproof. This is a great pen that won't break the bank.
