In the original box it included a battery and charger. Great little starter camera for digital cameras.

Is this camera still a good quality camera? Got this same one from my grandpa.

Yes this is a good camera, the only down fall is using the flash with settings on Automatic. When using built in flash manually set your shuttter speed. 1/30 sec for most low light pictures.

Which to search for use: fz10, fz20, fz30, fz50?

It's out of catalogue. I bought my fz50 in Internet but I do'nt remember where...ebay?

Does camera have time-lapse option? If so, what speeds? Also, is video 1080p?

One feature of this camera is manual zoom. Other modals have electric zoom and it lags in response time. Be sure to see if the recommended models have manual zoom or make sure you get one with it.This camera is much faster. It does not do time lapse.Video in this camera is VGA at best. 640x480.
