Firstly, for those of you who've got one of the new Nintendo Switch (OLED) consoles, let me start by saying that this does indeed fit the new Switch. It's not a perfect fit as the new Switch is a couple of millimetres wider, but it fits well enough and does its job admirably. If you're on the fence about whether it will work with your new Switch, then don't worry. The left handgrip doesn't quite click in to the battery case (there's a gap of 1-2 millimetres), but the magnets are strong enough to make the connection and it works very well. There's no electrical connection required here - it's just magnets - so is not a problem.Second, as an upgrade to your Switch, this is amazing. The additional battery capacity helps immensely, but for me the ergonomics make a huge difference to the feel of the console. The handgrips make holding the Switch a lot easier and make it easier to play games. I always struggled to make small inputs to my games using the left analog controller, but having this makes it so much easier. It's an absolute Godsend.Does it add weight? Sure, it adds a considerable amount of weight and some width to the console (meaning you'll need to remove it to fit into a case), but if you're sitting down playing then it makes almost no difference, and the benefits I outlined above FAR outweigh these negatives.Would I recommend this? Well, if you're struggling with battery life and/or ergonomics with your Switch, then without question I would recommend this. Additionally, note that for those with an older (pre-OLED) Switch, then this comes with a great stand - which was sorely missing on the old Switch. Also, the left/right grips can be detached for handheld play on both new/old Switch consoles. It really is a great solution.While it's not perfect (due to it not 100% fitting the very slightly larger OLED Switch), it works incredibly well whether you've got an old Switch or one of the newer OLED models.I cannot recommend this highly enough. I have zero regrets in buying this.
