Is this aprs compatable?

It may not be compatible as the frequency range may be out of limits for what you're looking for. The FTA-450 is specific for aircraft and tops out around 136.000. Hope this helps

It needs a charging tray. The tray and A/C adapter, etc. come with the radio.
