The CMP-1 has a blade similar to an Xacto knife so that can cut paper, cardboard and some foam. I don't know what CMP stands for, I thought it was just a model label. **Q: Does it work on fabric?** A: The rotary cutter is for fabric. The straight-blade cutter is not. Choose which fits your needs. **Q: will it cut aluminum trays - the one that is used for baking?** A: This product is for artist and designers for cutting paper, some thin plastic sheets, poster board, etc. It might work if the thickness of your aluminum tray is about regular disposable baking aluminum foil pan. **Q: Will this tool cut small holes into a thin sheet of latex?** A: I use it on high strength silicone sheets up to 1/16" thick. It gets the job done. Circles as small as 1" and larger turn out surprisingly good. I bought the more expensive rotary version from olfa and a fiskars circle cutter and both were complete failures when cutting silicone rubber. Silicone is tougher then latex. There is nothing more satisfying then perfect circles lol ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works. *by R***N on June 8, 2024* I bought 2 reasonably priced circle cutters to use mainly on cardstock. The β€œJEF” HD-01, and the closely priced OLFA circle cutter. I am reviewing both together. The β€œJEF” is obviously larger and can do larger holes/circles. This model is easier to use than the OLFA and should be able to cut any circle you would need. My only issue is that it uses a Cricut like blade, and includes 2 extra. The blade works great, it’s replacing it if needed that concerns me. You may just have to buy another whole cutter (although at under$10 not a real problem). The OLFA can cut up to a 6” circle, which covers most card crafting. The OLFA is much more compact and made in Japan instead of China. The OLFA has 6 extra blades and can probably be bought from OLFA. Summary: I really wanted to like the OLFA, but the β€œJEF” is just so much easier to use. The OLFA has a learning curve and could be difficult for many.
