Very sturdy. Heavy plastic.
This is the biggest 3 ring binder ever! It's very heavy duty. It's tough to get it to lay flat, but it does what it is supposed to do. Not many options are available for a portrait-oriented 11x17 binder.

Love this binder for art work storage!!!
This was exactly what I wanted to store art work in as part of taking online classes. I was able to use a combination of special 11"x17" and 8.5"x11" sheet protectors for the pieces, depending on the size of the substrate needs. They work great for my needs.

we got this delivered and it is a cheap flimsy product and the cover at the seam was already torn about 3 inches, - I would recommend that you do not purchase this and find it somewhere else - for the $45.00 it cost me for one simple binder you would think it is a better product

Gets the job done but could be so much better.
It's decent, and the D shape is a big plus. If you're selling or collecting tabloid size posters, you need one of these.I just wish it was more like a traditional loose leaf binder and less like a Jam Designder*. Avery makes one but it's landscape and for some reason just half a centimeter too short. This one at least lets you put 11x17 Sheet Protectors (656600) in it without anything sticking out.*Jam Designders are basically one sheet of semi-translucent plastic bent more or less into a binder shape. This binder is better than the tacky Jam ones, but it's still in that same style. I'm guessing there just isn't enough of a demand to produce a Wilson Jones style binder with these dimensions.

One if the few 11x17 covers offered in portrait style. Expensive, especially when you add Paulina's shipping charges. I believe it ships from Texas.
