i love these brakes they’re super powerful and once you bed them in they are awesome!!! so good my super73 install is so easy. Literally the best brakes for so cheap. Magura #1‼️‼️

My puchase started out a little rocky. The first brake must have been a returned item. The handle was cracked and the hydraulic hose was only about 1200mm not 2200mm. I did a return through Amazon explained the issue and decided to give it another try so i asked for a replacement. I got the replacement brake unbelievablely fast. The replacement was exactly what it should have been. I installed it and am very happy with the brakes. Although they should have checked any returned items before sending it out to another customer, i will place most of the blame on the unscrupulous individual that tried to make it fit their needs and instead broke it because they obviously have to machanical skills, returned it, got their money back and let the company eat the cost of the item. Shameful on that customers part but Jenson USA took care of the issue very fast. I would recommend buying from them. I definetly will.

I thought these were for ebikes with motor cut off function but they are not. Don’t know why they are labeled mt5e if they don’t have the cut off function. Will be returning them. Update: learned they can work for e-bikes it just won’t have the motor cut off function.

Works well on my Super73. Stops a lot better than the default brakes the bike came with.

Madura brakes aren't that good, they wouldn't even lift my rear tire up even though I've tried everything

I have a Juiced Ripcurrent S fat ebike. Last summer, I was riding in the mountains of Western MA going down some fairly steep mountain roads at about 50+mph. The OEM Star Union simgle piston hydraulic brakes were just not cutting it. The solution was a front Magura MT5e and MDR-C front rotor. I also ordered a Magura QM-40 caliper adaptor and it installed quick and easy. The brake system is nothing short of phenomenal. Only problem I had was ordering from the Magura site. The head guy at Magura, Jude, helped me order the right brake for my 77lb ebike. They even cut the hydraulic line to the right length for me. In hindsight, I'm still a little confused at the difference between the MT5e and the MT5eStop 4-piston brake systems they sell. I may be wrong, but I believe the MT5e was made to handle moped weights and speeds, which my bike is similar to, and the MT5-eStop is made for mountain ebikes and other ebikes. It is not very clear on the Magura site, as are other important things. For example, all ebike brake systems have motor cut-off switches built-in so when either brake is applied, it instantly shuts down the motor so it doesn't fight the brake and/or get you killed. The switch that's built into the brake can either be "normally open" or "normally closed" as manufacturers use both types. "Normally open" and "normally closed" are common electrical terms used in this country to describe the state of a switch in it's unactuated state, but because Magura is a German company, they use the term "opener" and "closer" on their USA site which means the exact opposite. Why no one has fixed this on their sight is beyond me, but Jude made sure the right "normally open /closer" one was sent for my ebike. Just beware of this and talk to someone there if you are not sure about something.

Make sure you have a good bleed kit with screw fitting that can handle a vacuum. And buy extra juice. Or the mt-420. Out of the box the brakes work great and I do like them, if you do not need to cut the 6 foot brake line to install.

Die Bremse hat mich ins kranken Haus gebracht , ist defekt gewesen (es ist Öl) raus gelaufen

Überragende Qualität. Ein gutes Sortiment an Kürzungszeug und Aufklebern ist dabei. Ich bin wieder absolut begeisert. Die beste Bremse überhaupt. Allerdings sollte der Käufer dennoch in der Lage sein Bremsen exakt zu montieren, oder einen guten Servise- Laden haben!!! Sonst bringt selbst eine M. Bremse nichts. Lg

Bin sehr zufrieden der Magura Bremse. Die Stärken sehe ich bergab, downhill, bei nassen schwierigen Verhältnisse, natürlich bremst sie auch sonst, aber da hab ich festgestellt sind ihre stärken. Hab auch gleichzeitig eine passende Bremsscheibe gekauft, beides zusammen braucht aber seine Einlaufzeit. Kann ich empfehlen.
