G2 Metallics Gel Roller Pens, Fine Point 0.7 mm, Gold & Silver, Pack of 2

While I didn’t receive the colors I was hoping for (I got pink/gold instead of green/purple), I can’t knock the quality of these pens. They write so smoothly & I haven’t experienced any bleeding or smearing.

The pen ink color is beautiful. The pen is very well made and easy to use. I enjoy using this pen immensely.

These Pilot G2 metallic gel pens write beautifully. They are a fine point ink, not a marker. They write smooth like a ballpoint pen. They come as a 2 pack, with one gold and one silver gel pen. It was cheaper to buy the 2 pack than it was to buy one gold pen. I purchased specifically to use the gold pen to write peoples names on black place-cards for my daughter’s wedding. At first it wasn’t writing evenly and it turned out there was a little tiny plastic blue tip on the end of the ballpoint which I removed and then they wrote perfectly. I’ve had no issues since. I included a picture of the blue tip on the silver pen next to the gold pen point without the blue tip. I have recently thrown away the packaging, so I don’t know if it mentions to remove this tip before using. The tip might be part of shipping and is supposed to be removed prior to using. Each pen has a rubber gripper at the end, which makes the pen easy to hold, it also has a clip if you want to attach it to a shirt pocket. The rest of the pen is a clear acrylic so you can see the amount of ink remaining. The ink gets used up quickly. I wrote first and last names along with the table number on the back of 140 place cards and you can see the difference in ink used between the gold and silver pens. Obviously, the gel ink uses more ink than writing with a standard ballpoint pen. I was happy with the out come and it was cheaper than having the cards printed. They looked lovely.

I was looking for a fine tip gold and silver pen, suitable for drawing. It is easy to find excellent metallic markers but much more difficult to find excellent metallic pens. These are the best that I’ve found. The only reason that I’ve given them 4 stars is because the gold color lacks depth and almost looks silver. I think that the gold would be great for writing cards but I wanted a more vibrant gold for drawing. The silver is great. All in all, these are really good pens.

Great for marking fabric labels

I have used these many times in my art and in my scrapbooking. Makes beautiful highlights to my sword drawings. They fully cover over stray marks filling out lines well and covering mistakes.

After I read the reviews for these pens, I expected them to work great, but the gold one in particular performed poorly for me. I wanted a metallic pen to use to address some Christmas card envelopes, hoping that gold or silver ink would show up clearly on a darker colored envelope. Unfortunately, the gold ink did not flow freely and skipped so badly that I ended up going back over my lettering with a conventional black ballpoint. The result looks kind of odd; I just hope it doesn't confound the USPS too completely. I tried scribbling on a scrap of paper in hopes of getting the ink flowing better, but that helped only minimally. Maybe I got a "dud," or maybe I did something wrong. If I ever want to use a metallic pen again, I'll try something else.

I absolutely love this brand of pen and it’s all I typically use now. I am a college student in my 2nd year of college and I find these so smooth to use taking notes and they don’t smudge like other alternatives. I also love all the different color options and that these are really pretty colors instead of your plain black and blue and red. I also love how comfortable these are to use and write with for longer periods of time during class lectures etc. I will definitely be ordering more of these in the future and I recommend these pens to literally anyone who will listen when we get talking about how I take my notes and pens etc. which happens more then I would like to admit. So I highly recommend these for anyone who is looking for a good quality pen that lasts a long time and does not smear when touched.

Love love the pens. But when I order them I can’t choose the purple and green. It’s random. Very disappointed.

I ordered multiples, trying to get a specific colour. I got multiples of the same set, which was not the one I wanted. It is what it is, I'll still use them, they're perfectly functional G2s, but I was still slightly disappointed.
