Fit for purpose - ringing volume could be louder
My father had a smartphone with all the bells and whistles, most of which he never used. It was big bulky and temperamental too charge. This phone is a nice size, with an easy to use recharge station, big buttons and has all the functions he actually uses (texts and calls) plus the additional SOS button is a useful feature at his age. The text is easy to read and the phone, in general, is easy to use. The ringing volume could be higher. The build quality is only ok, but at the price, one can't complain. Also, it does not come with a plug - USB cable only. He seems happy with it so far so we will see how it goes and worst-case scenario even if he does not like it and wants to return to a smartphone, it will always do as a backup phone.

A simple, easy to set up & use phone for seniors.
I bought this for my dear old mum. She has Arthritis & is diabetic, there’s no cable for so her hands gets swollen & is unable to hold a normal mobile phone & she doesn’t know how to use them either. This phone has been a blessing. It’s a black big button phone, the battery is separate in a pack, so just remove the cover from the back of the phone & put the battery in. There’s no complicated features for her to worry about. I’ve saved family numbers on the handset so it’s easy for her to just press one number & ring any one of us. The phone comes with a charging stand, so instead of fiddle with the cable she can just put it in the charging dock it beeps when it’s in correctly. I’d say battery life lasts from 5-7 days if she’s not constantly using, which she isn’t. It’s just a simple, quality phone, easy to use & understand for seniors for a fraction of the price of your average mobile phone. All the instructions are in the manual on how to set it up & all it’s features. I’d definitely recommend this to others.

Very easy to use, but doesn't come with a 3 pin plug to charge the cradle
Bought this for my elderly father as a simple pay as you go phone. Positives: big buttons, phone calls out numbers as you type, and plays a jingle so you know its powering on and off if you can't see very well. Easy to lock keyboard, and increase volume. Only slight hitch is that cradle comes with only a USB connection for charging, so had to buy a separate 3 pin plug with USB port for him as he doesn't own a tablet or laptop.

Great purchase
I purchased this phone for my Nan to use when she first moved into a residential home and had no phone to contact friends or family. The phone arrived 2 days ahead of it’s scheduled date and was very easy to set up. The options available are very user friendly and cater for all different types of impairment, including an emergency contact button. For someone who has tried other mobile phones previously and had no luck in getting the hang of it, this phone was very easy to use. Highly recommend as a cheap and cheerful phone for someone who does not need anything fancy. It looks, feels and works just like a landline phone with a benefit of having 2 SIM card slots. Very please with this purchase.

Very disappointed and frustrated with this product
I really can't give this a good review because it didn't work. I bought it as a life line for my mother who had a stroke and was in hospital with no form of contact. It worked ok but it didn't recharge on the stand and as the hospital didn't have usb sockets it was rendered unserviceable 😥

user friendly
bought it for my mother. contacts can be simply saved to the speed dial, so that the stored number can be recognized with one touch. This phone is ideal for the elderly. The operation is simple, the buttons are big and simple. Anyone who only needs a mobile phone to make a call can't go wrong. It also has an emergency button, which I think is very useful for emergency situations. I think the price is quite cheap. my mother is very satisfied with this phone because she can use it easily without any problems.

DIFFICULT TO REMOVE COVER TO FIT BATTERY AND SIMS NO INSTRUCTIONS
I write this review based on my decades of experience as a consumer and user of this type of product.I bought this for my parents who are both in late 80’s and in a care home due to a series of catastrophes only found in an Eastender special.Included in box. Power stand./cradle. Power lead ending in USB A Battery and mobile. There was a piece of paper which are supposed to be instructions but was very badly blurred print written it appears as a translation in a Far Eastern or similar country and not worth the paper it was written on.Supposedly simple for use by the obvious range of elderly, disabled, bad eyesight and othersThat said, my parents found the phone hard to get up and running. The case is difficult to open for battery and sim insertsBe aware if you intend to send one on to someoneI could not send the mobile ready to go because of RM and couriers not allowing powered items to be sent.Wrap separately to each otherSOLD AS SIM FREE but very little said about its limitations to 2G connection. It was a gamble that with 4-5 being the norm that a 2 would pick up a signal. No instructions no adviceThat said, removing the cover was, at best fiddly. It will apparently take two sims! There are NO instructions to say which is the main / first. There is no explanation at all as to how to make a choice etc.I fully charged the battery which has to be in the phone body and that placed in its charging stand before separate despatch. It took a good 8 hours plus to charge. The big buttons are good but let down by small print on a small screen.A nice young care assistant assembled it and my parents have found a decent signal in a convenient location indoors.Overall, NOT as simple to assemble (!to get up and running for calls) it could be due to the above.Take care of that gains extra star. almost £40 at time of purchase makes it a cheap, worth a try option especially when all the alternatives are much too expensive with too many complicated and unusable features
