I purchased an earlier, smaller version of this tent a few years ago. While I've been very happy with the overall features of that tent - the zip-up porch, the well-designed sand flaps on the sides and back, the ease of set up with the ingenious pop-up mechanism, and the overall quality and durability of the product, the sun protection was the one ding I would give it. I discovered that Easthills created a newer model of pretty much the same tent, but bigger - which would be perfect for my growing family. I also noticed that the newer model had clearly upgraded sun protection, so I decided to try it out. Am I happy I did! The upgrades to the tent were apparent right away - and really distinguish this tent from any other beach tent out there. The sun protection is amazing, even on the sunniest of beach days. This tent has better ventilation on all sides and a cleverly placed toggle system that provides any level of privacy or wind protection you need - including full privacy - all controlled from the inside of the tent. There is now a hook hanging at the center of the tent, good for hanging a light or whatever else you may want to hang there. The inside mesh storage pockets are large and plentiful. One of my very favorite features of the tent is the zippered front porch. Not only can it extend out from the tent for sand coverage, it also completely zips up, providing full privacy for changing out of wet swim and surf gear. The sand pockets are usually the only weighted wind protection I need on windy days. I think I have had to set up the strings maybe one time and it was fairly easy. The company also upgraded the little strap you wrap around the tent before storing in the bag. It used to be kind of a flimsy piece of cloth that I'm shocked I never lost over time. They upgraded it to a sturdy, thick strap with an adjustable locking clasp. It was a tiny thing, but I noticed. I have had many folks approach me on the beach wanting to know where I got the tent and to look at the features. People are mostly amazed by the ease of set up, how roomy it is and of course the porch. I had a little blip with the product and contacted the company. They bent over backwards to make things right and I am so appreciative of that. Great beach tent - I highly recommend!

Got this 4 days ago. Already took it to the beach on 2 separate trips. How did i grow up in Cali & bever have one of these. Its AWESOME. Fits me + husband + 7 yr old w/ lots of room to spare. Its really easy to set up & take down...& no we didnt practice @ home first - but do watch the video - my husband watched if right when we got to beach & it was no biggie! But let me tell you why all you momsneed to buy this one & not the others: it ZIPs CLOSED. No need to find a gross beach public bathroom: zip this baby up & using plastic bags collect the hard work of your kidneys then toss in the trash (responsibly) on your off the beach! # pays for itself just for this Also: its a beautiful, spacious, lightweight tent that will keep u from getting burned.

The tent is super easy to set up and meets all expectations. All you have to do after “popping” the tent open and getting it in the right location is attach the little clips from the side walls and roof to the poles and you’re done. I didn’t use the included pegs or wires as I was just opening this up for the first time and wanted to make sure all was in working order before our first trip, so I have yet to see how they work. But from what I’ve seen with the quality of the rest of this tent, I don’t expect to encounter any major issues. Speaking of quality, all seams and fabric was in good condition with no holes or tears. The only exception to this is a little tiny pinhole on the outer carrying bag, but nothing that can’t be fixed. All in all a great value for the money and would recommend to others looking for a place made in the shade.

Love this product . We used for privacy at the beach to smoke and take a break from the sun. Easy to assemble and store. Sturdy material easy to fold and included all accessories.

We have used this beach tent a few times and we love it! Our 15 year old beagle seems to love it the most. He can go swimming then get out of the wind, which makes him cold, and he's not a fan of laying in the sand. It's great for the kids to get them out of the sun for a little bit. The window flaps do great blocking out the sun or letting the breeze through. We practiced at home a few times before we went to the beach. The instructions are awesome at explaining what to do. Once you get the hang of it the setup and take down is quick. It fits easily in the carry bag even if you don't roll it real tight. It's so much easier than putting a tent back in the bag. We've used it in fairly high wind just with the stakes and it stays in place nicely.

Very easy to set up and break down once you get the hang of it, super lightweight (especially when compared to a 30lb canopy which we also have). Thought it would get hot inside but it didn't -- the mesh windows also helped keep everything cool (in 90% full sun) and provided an almost 360 view. . Very reasonable footprint. The included stakes held eveything firmly down even with moderate winds, didn't need the sand holders but they were a great and extremely convenient feature. Love having the pockets to hold our stuff, and having a floor so you don't need to put towels down. Unless you don't mind having your feet stick out, don't expect to fit more than three average sized adults inside and fully covered. Using the low to the ground beach chairs worked out great. Makes it seem much larger and actually roomy. Camp chairs worked too, but it's nice having the extra headroom (although 2 5'8" persons can sit up just fine as long as you're closer to the center). It's a great place to store our stuff, keep out of the direct sun, and have a little privacy. Would be perfect for two adults and one or two small children. Used it several times and so far it seems durable, time will tell. Very glad I purchased!

FANTASTIC TENT! We bought this tent for a trip to the beach with our children and grandchildren. What a great buy. It is amazingly simple to set up; one person can do it with ease. It took about a minute to unpack and setup with the super smooth opening mechanism. The inside is very spacious, and there is plenty of headroom even for adults, making it easy to move around inside. It is the perfect play area for the young children to be able to get out of the sun, and the extended porch area is a great idea, making the floor space even greater and letting you sit in or out of the sun. It also gives a way to close up the tent if you want to take a walk and leave your area. The three large screened windows provide excellent ventilation and give a very open feeling so you see all the action. The little pockets inside the tent are a very convenient place to put sunglasses, sunscreen, water, etc. The sand pockets and guy lines give two ways to secure it in place. Easthills Outdoors thought of everything. Highly recommend.
