Eray GSM Panic SMS Alert Emergency Alarm for Elderly/Kids/Patient with SOS Button and Speaker

I spent hours trying to set this up. The user guide is not clear and not well written. There are no phone numbers to call for assistance. I paid USD80 for this item for my elderly father. Then had to purchase a SIM card and still does not work.

I thought this was an excellent idea for a personal alarm without the complications of third-party services. However, the user manual is sketchy (incomplete and not written by a fluent English speaker). It lacks many details for understanding and setting up its functions. The support (only via email) suffers from the same difficulties of language understanding. There is no North American agent available for assistance. I've spent a week trying to setup the device and it is still not working acceptably. I should have known better.
