That was NOT the case for these awesome puck lights! They are exactly what I wanted and even more that what I have expected. The fact that they can be controlled with a battery operated remote control for turning them on or off and they have a built in timer along with three or four different brightness control levels they are a real dream . I use them for lighting up the cobalt blue glass ware that I have on open shelves in my kitchen and dining areas. Many friends have asked about them and have wanted some for their own homes after they have seen the dramatic visual effects they can create.If you like to try to think outside the box as far as how to perhaps light an object that you may have in your home...be it a piece of art or maybe a doorway entrance or exit these little pucks will amaze you. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Buy, Would purchase again. *by C***1 on Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2016* if you are worried about the functionality or quality when buying these, don't hesitate. I am always hesitant when buying from brands I don't know, especially online, but I have to say that I am so impressed with these! It was a little difficult to set up in the beginning, until I quit being stubborn and actually read the manual - and then it was a breeze, haha! The ability to pair up to 24 lights to 1 remote is a big plus. These lights are super bright (but not blinding) and because the remote is radio-frequency, you can turn them off/on even without a straight line of sight. I tested it out by putting them in a box behind a closed closet door and it still worked even up to15feet away ( maybe further, but I ran out of room.) I'm using them to make lamps out of paper lanterns, but these would be great for above a desk, in kitchen cabinets, linen closets, anywhere you want easy-to-use lighting without having to pay an electrician hundreds of dollars for wiring. The only con I've noticed is that the dimming feature doesn't have as many levels as i would like, but it's not a huge problem. No assessment of battery life yet b/c I've only had them a couple weeks, but with a timer feature that automatically shuts off after 30min, the batteries should last a loooong time [no more forgetting to turn the light off! :) ] ### ⭐ Disappointing at best *by O***R on Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2019* Worked GREAT to start. Then....remote and lights quit working after only a month. Amazon said I should get in touch with the seller. I tried 3x, but never a response. No customer service and poor product.Too bad it didn't work correctly as my wife and I both liked the under cabinet lighting....while we had it.I'll try again with a different brand.
