Dog loves these!
Trouble is they’re gone in a flash. The tendons are quite expensive so I try to ration but still…

Product & packaging has changed significantly.
At least the price came back down from the ridiculous level it was last year. I've ordered these for about 4 years and my dog loved them. They were very thin, dry, and seemed like a great, low calorie treat to give my dog regularly. They always came in a sturdy box and the treats were in a bag inside the box. I ordered them early 2022 and when the package came, I opened the box to find them just sitting there in the open air in the shipping box. This disturbed me and the chews were also darker and less dry than all other times I've ordered. I gave them to my dog anyhow and they were fine. This last time I ordered, they came again in an open box with no bag but this time, the treats did not resemble the treats I was used to at all. They were very thick and moist and the quantity therefore was much less. They are very different than the flat, dried out strips that I've been used to. I contacted Amazon and was issued a refund and instructed to discard the product. I'm very disappointed that this product has changed so much that I can no longer purchase for my dog. It was his favorite treat. I HAVE FOUND A NEW ITEM on chewy.com that seems very comparable and is only around $38 for 16oz package, which is way less than the bark & harvest 1lb packages. I am going to try this different product out. The pics make them look just like the older bark & harvest chews.

The most favorite tendon out there
These are our dog's favorite treat by a landside margin. She loves them so much she'll often turn down other treats in hopes that we'll give her one of these. There are two other kinds of turkey tendons. The first is the pressed turkey tendons (lots of tiny pieces compressed together, similar to pressed rawhide) and the second are tendons in their natural, whole, state, like these, but are much thicker/less dry than these. We've tried all 3. We had some moderate success with the other whole tendons, but nothing like with this brand. So, while this brand is thinner and less substantial, it is Lucy's hands down favorite. And, even though the tendons are quite thin, there is enough to them to give her a bit of chew work. She always takes one to go lie down and chew. With truly insubstantial treats she eats them in front of me, immediately. It likely won't take your dog 10 minutes to eat, but mine at least it's fully engaged for the ~3-5 minutes it takes.Ou lab/husky mix is 10yrs/old and has had lymphoma for almost 3 years. She is just finishing up her last chemo round (each round is 6 months, this is her third). Chemo offer doesn't make dogs sick like humans, but we have sometimes struggled with pickiness/lack of appetite (she's maintained a healthy weight +5-10lbs the whole time). Lu has never turned down this treat, no matter how picky she's being. In fact, she'd eat a package a day if I allowed it. I'm finally breaking down and ordering a full pound.

Great chew, especially for little and older dogs
These are just awesome.YYThese are just awesome! Always give supervised, the dogs can choke just like with any chew. You can give as is, or if you have an older dog or dog with less teeth, these are perfect too... For the less active chewer, put a few in a ziploc bag, spritz lightly with water, and refrigerate. Now you have a softer chew, but still working those teeth and muscles and so yummy for the dogs. Even less of a chewer? Well, I used to get another brand that was very soft, and I was able to replicate it as the ingredients they used are so simple- just add coconut oil. Melt a little coconut oil, (start with less, like half a teaspoon for 7 chews, you can add more if needed, too much can upset the stomach and pancreas) mix with a little water, coat a few chews, and put in a ziploc bag and again refrigerate. Many days this was the only thing that would get our 16 year intensely picky old toy poodle started eating, her coconut oil soaked and sliced turkey tendon. I was ecstatic to find these in the big box! Now the poodle has passed, but they are still perfect for the other little dog, and she loves them. These have almost no odor and leave no residue, even after soaking in coconut oil, they absorb it really well and are not messy unless you use too much.I hesitate to give this review, only because I don't want to share!

Real turky tendons
There appears to be a national shortage of this item. Mud Bay has been out for months. Superior Farms provided the best turkey tendons, according to my dog, in days, not months or never. These are the kind Mud Bay stocks at a higher price and now doesn't stock at all. The downside is, each tendon lasts a couple of minutes. If you're looking for a long-term chew, this isn't it. But if you're looking for joy for your dog and treat a couple of times a day, this is top notch.
